Noah, 22nd December 2017, Korakuen Hall.

Kenoh (32) broke the champion Eddie Edwards, and became the new champion.

Kenoh's obsession for winning the championship belt was decided by a diving footstamp on Edwards. There was a huge challenge by Edwards on the inside and the outside of the ring, but his momentum was in the first half. As Edwards gave an intense inverted horizontal chop, the wizard gave a high kick to the chest. Although the attack was driven by Edwatds, he was a big challenger, and after twenty minutes he hit a right high kick to the opponent's head and fought back. At the end he delivered a diving foot stamp from the top corner and took the count in 23 minutes and 50 seconds.

He raised the belt high and on the microphone he addressed the fans and said, "Pro-Wrestling Noah, you were made by Misawa, but I have been able to take the belt irrespective of Misawa! It is the beginning of a new era! I will bring you to the Nippon Budokan" he declared as people cheered.

Kaito Kiyomiya (21), who has been abroad training, appeared during the middle of Kenoh's speech and promised he would be the next challenger.

On 9th December (10th in Japan) Ogawa Kenichi won the IBF World Super Featherweight Championship in Las Vegas. Kenoh was insipired by this great achievement to win his first heavyweight title. "I got great stimulation and went after the belt" he said.
