At Korakuen Hall on the 22nd December, Kenoh defeated Edwards who represents "Misawa's Noah". Following his first GHC Heavyweight win and that of his first Global League, he held the belt high and proclaimed, "I am the GHC Heavyweight Champion! Misawa made Pro-Wrestling Noah, this is the first time that a man who has not known Misawa has taken this belt!" as he spoke he was surrounded by cheers.

Then a young man appeared. It is Kaito Kiyomaya, who had been overseas on an indefininte leave from June 2017. In the "Triumphant Surprise" return, Kaito Kiyomiya had increased his body weight and both looked larger and fearless in expression. The venue erupted in a chant of "Kaito". He took the microphone and confronted Kenoh, "I have returned from overseas. I think I can win. Please let me challenge you for the belt".
In June Kiyomiya had been defeated by Kenoh. Kenoh accepted the challenge saying that "the look in your eyes is genuine, you are more than an incomplete Noah wrestler now. I will let you challenge me for this belt".

Kiyomiya has seized the chance of the first heavyweight challenge in triumph. If the twenty-one year old wins, he will become the youngest title holder (currently held by Naomichi Marufuji who was twenty-six).

The road to Noah's new values will continue to the Budokan, led by the man who declares "that the era of Marufuji and Sugiura is over" and "the destruction of Misawa's Noah", will start with the GHC war with Kiyomiya.
