GHC Champion Kenoh (33) fulfilled his first defence of the GHC Heavyweight Championship by rejecting Kaito Kiyomiya's challenge.
Kenoh took the belt on the 22nd December last year and drew large crowds. The calls for Kenoh drowned out those for Kiyomiya. After eighteen minutes, Kenoh went for the final footstamp and Kiyomiya countered with a dropkick before Kenoh could catch him in the stomach. The Dragon Suplex only resulted in an 2.8 count. Even so, Kenoh was victorious after a heartless attack after twenty minutes. He killed Kenoh with three left and right kicks to the head.
The referee stopped the match as Kiyomiya was not moving.
After the match, Miyamoto, who had been defeated by Kenoh during the Global League, expressed a challenge to the champion. Kenoh said "Where are Noah's wrestlers? Miyamoto, why have you come out? I would have expected Marufuji before you" he said provoking Noah's senior athletes. He added, "now a group with more power than Noah (New Japan) had decided to host the Budokan, but who is the promotion who is more concious of the Budokan? Follow me, and I will take Noah back to the Budokan!"
