(NOAH) Korakuen Hall, 22nd February 2018
MATCH 1
Masou Inoue & Hajime Ohara vs Cody Hall & LEONA
Last time they tagged together, Cody Hall (who appeared to have a bandaged elbow and taped fingers today) and LEONA (both the sons of famous fathers), did not get along. Masou Inoue did the old man wrestler act and slipped on the ropes and turnbuckle, Ohara was kind enough to wipe them down for him.
Leona tapped out to the Muy Bien (Hajime Ohara's hold)
MATCH 2
Go Shiozaki vs Hitoshi Kumano
Hitoshi Kumano apparently has a new entry song.
Go Shiozaki won with the lariat, interestingly Kumano countered with his own version. Fan opinion is that the match of Kumano vs Kaito Kiyomiya will be very good, and Kumano is certainly getting better. Kumano later said that although his head hurt he was happy, a friend came from Hiroshima and made some red tape streamers for him which he handed out to fans at the venue.
MATCH 3
Maybach Taniguchi & Mitsuya Nagai vs Akitoshi Saito and Shiro Koshinaka
Today is National Cat Day in Japan (and Nagai revealed in Twitter he has three, Gigi, Macaroni and Clam). In the ring the brawl went outside and Taniguchi used a chair, back inside the ring Nagai was being booed (he says he doesn't care). Taniguchi with the win after a chokeslam.
MATCH 4
Four Way Pre Championship Match
Taiji Ishimori vs Hi69 vs Yoshinari Ogawa vs Minoru Tanaka
From the moment the bell rang, the four man brawl started with Ogawa and Tanaka quickly getting rid of XX (who both had an arm taped today following the last match with Ogawa and Tanaka) and throwing them outside the ring. Then the two vets just stood there as neither wanted to fight the other as their object was not that. When XX did get back in the ring, they were mauled by their opponents with more arm locks. Taiji Ishimori got the surprise win by reversing into a Mexican Roll on Minoru Tanaka.
MATCH 5
Naomichi Marufuji & Atsushi Kotoge vs Jay Bradley and Hideki Suzuki
Kotoge wanted to face off immediately against Hideki Suzuki, but Marufuji calmed him down and went first for the lock up. Kotoge and Suzuki had been having a "Twitter war" (Kotoge had said that Suzuki was "retrograde" and "he enjoyed his old style of wrestling") and Suzuki naturally didn't take too kindly to this. Kotoge pinned Bradley with a small package.
At the end of the match Marufuji and Suzuki shook hands, Marufuji seemed to indicate that he wanted to see Suzuki in the ring again; Suzuki's answer was to leave.
After the match many fans commented they wanted to see Jay Bradley and Hideki Suzuki team in Global Tag League, and that they would like Jay Bradley to stay on in Noah.
Crowd was INSANE during this match.
MATCH 6
Quiet Storm vs Katsuhiko Nakajima
Katsuhiko Nakajima knocked Quiet Storm out with the high kick to the head almost immediately after Storm lariated him out of the ring.
MATCH 7
Mohammed Yone vs Masa Kitamiya
Yone pulled the "Disco Fever" pose. Kitamiya, not a fan of disco (or 50FP) was not impressed. Yone worked surprisingly stiff during the match. The crowd were tired after the last two matches, and this match is sandwiched in between two big ones.
Yone got revenge on The Aggression by winning over Masa Kitamiya with a giant muscle buster bomb.
MATCH 8
Three way match
Kenoh vs Takashi Sugiura vs Kaito Kiyomiya
Prior to the match Kaito Kiyomiya had said that this match was "not going to be like Osaka". He was right, when he got in the ring Kenoh attempted to shake hands with Sugiura. At the start of the match Kenoh was thrown outside the ring and wore a look of utter disbelief as he sat there, as revenge he piled Sugiura and Kiyomiya together and then did the footstomp on them. Sugiura later pulled out a hidden move, and did the Frankensteiner on Kenoh for the win. Kenoh couldn't believe it and protested the win to the referee. Sugiura later got on the microphone and said, ""Hey! Champion! I am surprised you lost this easily! Will you be okay in the big fight?"
It was also noticed that Kiyomiya has bulked up some more, and has also added to his repertoire, the Misawa apron somersault.
MATCH 9
Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke VS HAYATA & YO-HEY
No traditional RATELS handshake today (Harada is not speaking to HAYATA, HAYATA doesn't speak anyway, and YO-HEY isn't allowed to shake hands with anyone when HAYATA is about).
Tadasuke took the first win over YO-HEY, which eliminated him and left HAYATA alone in the ring.
HAYATA seemed to have injured his knee after the moonsault, there was some concern, but he seemed well enough to carry on. Harada, however, fought like a lion. He could not stand up against this, and Tadasuke won with the "Outcast".
YO-HEY took not being there for HAYATA badly, and later posted that he was sorry about what happened today and that he apologised to the world.
