(NOAH) Kenoh's Column "Come At Me You Bastards" ~ January 2018 (1st column ever)

The interviewer starts Kenoh's first ever column, and says that he believes that Kenoh has something to say? He mentions that Noah has wrapped up for last year, and that this column will be issued as a special feature.

Kenoh says that it has been his December, especially regarding the championship match with Eddie Edwards on the 22nd at Korakuen. He says to be honest, he is delighted as for two consecutive months, (he beat Shiozaki in the finals of "Global League" in November), he has had two consecutive high level matches. However, Kenoh starts shrieking that he owes no thanks to "that bastard".
Nope. He's not talking about his belief that President Uchida is trying to keep him down, Marufuji is conspiring against him, or the return of Kaito Kiyomiya.
No. Kenoh thinks he should have been put on the front cover of Puro Weekly.
The interviewer patiently explains to him that they have a schedule, and he's going to have to wait, even if he did a memorial match, he wasn't going to be put on the cover.
Kenoh, however, is not going to take what he perceives to be this slight lightly, after all, he is the new GHC Heavyweight Champion, and the first one to win it, who did not know Misawa and is not of that era;

"Noah's dramatic new development!" You don't even put me on the cover! I know why! I have thought of various reasons! From the magazines perspective, Tetsuya Naito was put on the cover. Puroresu Weekly went into the bookshops and convenience stores until the New Year, because New Japan was at the Tokyo Dome on the 4th January."

Kenoh says he thinks it is the right thing to do, but he was warned that this was the reality of Noah.
The interviewer agrees with his analysis.
Kenoh says that the month he was on the cover, Noah's image became very good and was boosted by it, and the repercussions were truly amazing.
The interviewer points out, it was the first time in four years.
Kenoh laughs and says his first cover was like some "weird American comic", and wants to know who did it (it turns out it was done by the former Editor-in-Chief, he didn't think it would ever be the cover of the magazine though).
Kenoh says he thought it was going to change his life, but not in such a comedic way.
Anyway, it was the past, he doesn't care and now it is back to late January\early February 2018.

Getting back to the story, Kenoh says that at the time that things were changing in Noah, Dragon Gate held their big event at Fukuoka International Center, but New Japan's Naito was put on the cover, "and that's the reality of the wrestling world now". He has known it for a long time. He is a powerful person from a powerful professional wrestling company.
He uses a Japanese phrase, "passing through heads" (Kenoh says New Japan have "forty heads"), this basically means that there is good nature, harmony and co-operation among people, although there is no direct translation.

"If I do not change it, I do not see a bright future for NOAH."

"You cannot argue with that."
Kenoh goes on to say that Noah was overcrowded at Korakuen Hall, and finally it was able to take its place once again at the starting line, and Kenoh now has a new hunger to win. HOWEVER, its then back to the issue of who is on the front cover of Puroresu Weekly again; Kenoh is faced Kaito Kiyomiya on the 6th January for the GHC Heavyweight title, but as New Japan are at the Tokyo Dome on the 4th January, Kazuchika Okada is on the cover. Kenoh understands why, it will sell.
He knows this, and he also knows that Noah has changed in the five years that he was on the cover.

"I will definitely change this by the Tokyo Olympic Games (in 2020)".

Kenoh has two years more in which to do this.
During the New Years holidays (when Noah shuts down for a few weeks along with the rest of Japan and a lot of the wrestlers spend much needed time with their family), he understood the situation going into 2018, and he will change it saying "there is no way I can be a middle-of-the-road wrestler in Noah." He understands the outcome of the past few months, and he will use it to take Noah in the right way.

Kenoh is asked how he is physically?
He says to be honest, the question is boring. On February 2nd, he is going to show everyone just how he is at Korakuen Hall. The hurdles have been raised, and Kenoh says that are his feelings exactly. But if he really wants to know how he is physically, his right elbow is good.
(Note: on January 19th Yuko Miyamoto put Kenoh through a table. Kenoh legitimately fainted much to Takashi Sugiura's concern. He had a deep gash in his elbow which needed stitches, and left a scar. It was noted afterwards when he came out to sign autographs that he looked pale and his hands were shaking).
Kenoh gets back to his complaint about not being put on the cover, and says that he doesn't do any of this to get put on the cover of Weekly Pro.

"I will make an impact. Watch me."

Regarding the challenge by Yuko Miyamoto, Kenoh says he will not lose. His regret is his challenger, Yuko Miaymoto. He wants to know when "the Noah guys" are going to come out and challenge, why haven't they? The audience were expecting it, but Yuko Miyamoto came out, and Kenoh couldn't believe it was none of them.

"Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura, I have called you out many times! Why did you not come? Yuko Miyamoto, you can smell you are losing!"

The interviewer concludes that the Noah wrestlers are going to have to sharpen themselves to defeat the champion.
