(NOAH) Winter Navigation Night One ~ 7th December 2018, Korakuen Hall ~ Post match interviews

KIMIYA OKADA

Q: What was your impression of the debut?
OKADA: I was happy that my debut had been decided on, but when the match finished, I only had 100% regret. I debuted against Inamura, who entered at the same time as me, and gave him the win. I regret it. Although my debut is only three months afterwards, there is a a lot of difference between the amount of experience and effort, and it has show a lot.
Q: Your debut had to be postponed for a while, what did you think?
OKADA: Even though Inamura had debuted earlier, I wasn't discouraged. I was able to absorb various things from him as I felt in my heart it could be positive.
Q: Did you get a sense of the difference?
OKADA: Everything was. I felt that stamina during the match, and stamina during practice was completely different. I felt I was one or two steps ahead of Inamura, even when setting the pace of the repertoire of the match.
Q: You have debuted as a heavyweight, what else are you aiming for?
OKADA: I respect all the wrestlers in Noah, junior or heavyweight, and I respect all of the wrestlers in Japanese pro-wrestling circles. There are many I like, but Kimiya Okada would like to establish his own image, and not be someone else's copy.
Q: So your aim is to intentionally establish yourself as a wrestler through your actions? (rough translation)
OKADA: Yes
Q: What is your special skill?
OKADA: Right now I don't have anything other than a body slam and a drop kick. I want to acquire new skills, but I would like to further channel the basic techniques that I have now.

MASA KITAMIYA & KENOH

KITAMIYA: Who will come up to the next match? I don't know who will, but we will get a belt, and we will show the hope of Noah. No one can do it, only us.
KENOH: Well, I don't know who is going to be there, but I want Nakajima and Shiozaki. You two got together, but what is born? Nothing is born? The only thing born, is a funny thought. We will change everything. We will come to you, smash you down and take the belt.

KATSUHIKO NAKAJIMA & GO SHIOZAKI

Q: This was an unintentional victory?
NAKAJIMA: I think its okay. A win is a win, I don't think of it as anything else I guess. Did you feel scared at Shiozaki and I tagging? Well, a win today was a win. Today, I'll forgive you for it. (Shakes hands with Shiozaki and thanks him).
SHIOZAKI: You are welcome. Oh well, truly, phew! It's not that bad, unintentional, mockery, but unintentional (rough). That's right. Unintentional development. He used the sasumata after a long time, has he possibly transformed? Today was a way to win, but I will not take it from them again, when it happens, we will kick it to death in front of you (rough).

HAJIME OHARA

"Whatever it is, that is a great mania that Morohashi has. I mean, he wants to challenge for the belt, but it cannot be helped, he is in a state where he hasn't decided on a partner. With that passion, I would like to challenge a wrestler in Noah like that. If I can get the belt, then I want to face Morohashi in the first defensive match, but he has no partner, and so I will not talk of it. Please find a proper partner and convince not just us, but also the fans too. We will work hard to get the belt at Yokohama in one week. So, Muy Bien!"

THE HOOLIGANS

NAGAI: I have bought a new Hooligan, Hino! You guys! This is the new generation, old generation, we don't care who we fight with. We are The Hooligans, we will go and whip Noah's ring.
HINO: Lets do it! Excellent! I don't understand well what this old generation or new generation is anyway. (Turns to Maybach Taniguchi next to him) What's wrong with your mouth? Open it! Funny! (turns to Cody) Look at this! Somebody doesn't understand!
NAGAI: The Hooligans are all monsters
HINO (to Cody): What's your name? Cody? Calorie? It looks like a mind (rough) Noah!
NAGAI: We'll name it interesting! Noah!
HINO: Oh yeah, lets do that! Let's do that!

YO-HEY & HAYATA

YO-HEY: I also mentioned on the ring, but at the end of ZERO 1 junior, if you think of coming, come here and come on! If you think of coming, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on okay?!
(Hits HAYATA'S chest comically)
HAYATA:...
YO-HEY: You too, talk about something!
HAYATA: Same!
YO-HEY: Same...
TADASUKE: That's all, that was a fight...

SUGI, SHOKI KITAMURA & TATSUHITO TAKAIWA

Q: YO-HEY asked you for a match next year?
SUGI: Well, next year, there is a schedule problem and as long as we can meet it, and ZERO-ONE and I are okay with anytime, then I will do it.
Q: In Noah's ring again*, what impression did you get with RATELS?
SUGI: It was a little light, I mean, I wanted you to not hold anything back.
Q: Takaiwa, what impression did you get?
TAKAIWA: Noah Juniors are my second hometown, but it has changed a lot.
Q: What was the importance of the competition against the juniors at that time?
TAKAIWA: However, it seems like this though, the other side has changed. It is fun, but this guy (Kitamura) is the most annoying. He is just coming in, perservere in such a place. (Rough)

*Slaps with open palm to drive it home*

KITAMIYA: Yes! One more time and next time that ZERO-1 and Noah meet, please let me have three people against RATELS once more. Next time, I will definitely win!

GO SHIOZAKI AND KATSUHIKO NAKAJIMA (AFTER TITLE MATCH)

NAKAJIMA: Tag formation on the first day.
SHIOZAKI: We are stronger, we got the pin. However, Cody, Taniguchi, the first battle of today, I cannot be convinced about that way of winning (rest does not translate well)
NAKAJIMA: It was the first day as a team with Shiozaki, in the end, we took it, and that is something to think about. At the end, it was Shiozaki who took the pin, so I can't speak about that, but I would like to say this; it is not Marufuji, Sugiura or the veterans or Kiyomiya and the younger generation that will change Noah. We both made our debut in 2004, Go Shiozaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima. Never forget.

TAKASHI SUGIURA & KOTARO SUZUKI

SUZUKI: I don't need pre-fight matches. I have already won twice. It's meaningless, right? Harada said last time, "If the guy who left puts on the belt, the belt will not shine". He wasn't here when I left Noah, he rolled into an empty seat on the way, and now tries for the head of the originator. I will make it clear, whose blood is thicker.
Q: Was it a complete victory?
SUGIURA: Didn't he win the championship? It's a fluke. Pre-fights are easy. It may be that the seniors of this promotion are nurturing him gently. I will not. I cannot lose. Life hangs on it. I have been at Noah for eighteen years, and I will not be defeated by someone of two or three years debut. The weight, this belt, its importance, I will let him know everything.
Q: There is still more than today's fight.
SUGIURA'S answer doesn't translate well, but he says something like Kiyomiya was defeated, and there is no hurt or itch to himself.
Q: He defeated you in Global League, did you not feel the momentum at the time?
SUGIURA: Even though he attacked thoroughly, he lost this time, so now its rounded out. I have the physical fitness, and my energy is not exhausted. Well, there is still some time to go before Yokohama. Think a lot when training.
