VS. THE DIE HARD REVOLUTION (EDDIE EDWARDS & ATSUSHI KOTOGE)

Once The Hooligans had left the ring, Noah's "Revolutionary Cloak Hero" came to the ring. Atsushi Kotoge got on the microphone and started talking about how he had tried to find a tag partner but none of his friends wanted to tag with him (oddly Kotoge seemed to think that the veterans, whom he had been part of a group fighting against for dominance, were somehow his friends, but then again, Kotoge probably just followed Shiozaki into "The Super New Generation Army" without thinking much about it other than Shiozaki, older and sensible, was going there, and he should too).
Kotoge said he was going to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight Tag titles, and he had found a partner from "outside of Noah".
Eddie Edwards appeared on the monitor and addressed a cheering Korakuen Hall who were delighted to see him come back to Noah, he said if Kotoge wanted a revolution then he would "revolution (Kakumei) with him.

The title match has been set for the 24th February at Korakuen Hall. Pretty much all of the other titles will be defended at March 10th in Yokohama (aside from the GHC Junior Tag), I think the reason for this one to be so soon in the month is due to Edwards schedule in IMPACT.

In a post match promo, Fifty Funky Powers addressed the title challenge with the following;

Q: Will you accept the challenge of Kotoge and Edwards?
YONE: I think Edwards doesn't understand the meaning of "Revolution". I think the "Revolution" in Kotoge's head is different from the one that Eddie thinks. I think I am going to have fun.
STORM: No-one knows what "Revolution" means. I don't think he even knows. BUT, Eddie Edwards is coming back, and finally we can do a match! Victory! Lets do it.

Unfortunately for "The Die Hard Revolution", Atsushi Kotoge suffered dislocated elbow and a fracture to the arm after doing the "Revolutionary Cloak Splash" in Fukushima. Noah had to change the card for the subsequent event which pitted "The Mid Generation" of Katsuhiko Nakajima and Go Shiozaki against the champions. Nakajima and Shiozaki got the victory after Nakajima choked out Quiet Storm with a sleeper hold, afterwards Nakajima laughingly commented that they had beaten the champions, and that, "I wonder what will happen."

Noah announced due to the injury to Atsushi Kotoge, the card would have to be changed and the new challengers would be Katsuhiko Nakajima and Go Shiozaki.
The pre-matches culminated in Nakajima and Shiozaki ran riot over them in the pre-matches, with only the final night before the title match in Tokorozawa, ended with 50 Funky Powers getting the direct win over them. In the comments afterwards, Yone said that they too could fight dirty if they wished.

When the fans arrived at Korakuen Hall, Noah handed out blue glo-sticks to the crowd, who lit them as soon as "Boogie Wonderland" hit creating blue stars in pockets of the audience as the team made their appearance.
Sadly, no glo-sticks, disco balls or funky music could save them from the onslaught of Go Shiozaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima who crashed into them with force and created a stiff as hell match between all four of them. At one point in the match, Nakajima kicked Quiet Storm in the head, and knocked him briefly for six, and then later Yone (who is used to being kicked by KENTA for years) also got it.

50 Funky Powers short second heavyweight tag team reign ended after just twenty-three days via a Vertical Spike by Katsuhiko Nakajima for the three count.
