Nippon Sports
Minoru Tanaka (46, freelancer), celebrated his 25th anniversary by taking the GHC Junior Championship for the first time, achieving a major championship achievement.
Tanaka challenged Noah's GHC Junior Heavyweight champion, Daisuke Harada, and after a fierce battle he won with the Fireball Splash after 21 minutes and 36 seconds. After taking the IWGP Junior in New Japan, the World Junior Heavyweight championship in All Japan, the W-1 Cruiserweight Championship, ZERO-ONE'S International Junior Heavyweight Championship, and the FMW Independent Junior Heavyweight Championship, he took the last one, which is Noah's.
"I have been thinking about taking this belt for ten and a half years. This belt is the main momentum. This belt will make echoes across the industry. This belt will be wanted by overseas wrestlers. Leave it to Minoru Tanaka!"
