(NOAH) Event Report ~ Global Junior League 2019, Night Four (Tokorozawa city gymnasium sub arena, 12th July 2019)
There are too many matches I want to see.
In fact, there are many people who couldn't go to the venue today"
After a short summer break (in which the roster were so quiet, it was thought that they went on vacation), Noah returned to bring Global Junior League to the Tokorozawa city gymnasium sub arena.
Kenoh and Naomichi Marufuji wasted no time in winding each other up, with Kenoh saying that he is concerned only with The Sugiura Army and Kiyomiya, but there was someone else, someone whose name he couldn't remember easily, "ah yes, it is Michi-kun" (he means Marufuji), who he said he was going to rough up.
Marufuji naturally responded with he was concerned only with The Sugiura Army and Kiyomiya, but there was someone else, someone whose name he couldn't remember easily, "Ah, Ken...". Nope. He couldn't remember the rest of it.
Takashi Sugiura then joined in the fun by saying, that he was only concerned about Kongoh, but there was someone else, someone who had a pain in his toes, someone whose name he couldn't remember easily, "Ah, Masao" (Masao Inoue who has gout), and said that he would step on them today.
Kaito Kiyomiya, also kind of joined in, but too polite to address any kind of sarcasm towards his seniors, he posted a picture of a giant Akita dog at the station (he was heading from Akita to Tokorozawa, having done a lot of radio interviews).
Katsuhiko Nakajima was at the autograph booth, with Hitoshi Yamato selling his seaweed product (and it got a good queue of fans for it).
A newly bleached blonde Tadasuke and tired looking HAYATA did the Noah's Ark fanclub pictures, as did Akitoshi Saito (who was happy enough to do the pose he did with ex tag partner Bison Smith with a fan today).
After the event Noah held a fan party in Cafe Grapple, which was hosted by Katsuhiko Nakajima (tag partner Go Shiozaki, will return on the 15th July at Korakuen Hall).
Global Junior League 2019
Junta Miyawaki vs YO-HEY
YO-HEY posted prior to the match that it would be "Tokorozawa...white star" (he used the word "Peron" afterwards, which doesn't translate), and said that "next was the 15th at the hall! Mother. Its going to be fun, I'm looking forward to it."
By "mother" he means Tadasuke.
During the match, Miyawaki concentrated in attacking YO-HEY'S arm (YO-HEY is known to have the most vicious chops in the junior division).
WINNER: YO-HEY with the Face G (8 minutes, 57 seconds)
After the match, a fan told Miyawaki that they thought he had grown bigger again. Miyawaki said that was the best thing for a trainee to hear.
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura & Hajime Ohara) vs Masao Inoue & Kinya Okada.
Poor Masao Inoue indeed got his toes stamped on today, by both The Sugiura Army, with his gouty foot being targeted. Kinya Okada was also targeted, since he was facing Sugiura, who drove his head into the mat with his boot. Naturally Inoue tried to fight back against Sugiura (with the eye rake), but was unsuccessful and got a boot to the face while in the corner.
MASAO WORLD was on form, especially when he went for his spinning punch thing, Suguira halted him in his tracks, and did the "wait a minute" that Masao Inoue does by putting his arms up. Sugiura charged, Inoue dodged and tried to catch him in a schoolboy. He got a running knee for his troubles.
The match ended with Sugiura holding Inoue in an ankle lock, with Ohara applying the Muy Bien to Kinya Okada, although Okada tapped first.
Sugiura then refused to let go of Inoue's ankle, even after Okada tapped. The abuse of Masao Inoue by Takashi Sugiura didn't end there, as when referee Ben went to hold up their arms in victory, Sugi continued stamping on Inoue's foot!
Despite Inoue's usual bumbling, and Sugiura's usual abuse of him, he was very good at guiding Okada today, and Okada was said to be showing progress (despite the long periods he has had to miss so early in his career).
WINNER: Hajime Ohara with the Mui Bien on Kinya Okada (10 minutes, 22 seconds)
MATCH THREE
Global Junior LeagueKotaro Suzuki vs Chris Ridgeway
"Ankle hell"
It was Stinger vs Stinger today, and Kotaro Suzuki suffered his first loss in the tournament.
Ridgeway attacked Suzuki's leg mercilessly, everything Suzuki did pretty much ended in an ankle lock, even when he attempted The Endless Waltz.
WINNER: Chris Ridgeway with the ankle lock submission (8 minutes, 38 seconds)
MATCH FOUR
Kongoh (Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya, Atsushi Kotoge & Yoshiki Inamura) vs Naomichi Marufuji, Yoshinari Ogawa, Hiroshi Yamato & Keisuke Ishii.
Its very rare to see Yoshinari Ogawa have these types of matches, especially against what is essentially a heavyweight team, and especially Kenoh. He also looked as if he was having trouble with his arms today.
Yoshiki Inamura (who still by the way, has no eyebrows) had his chest cut to ribbons and came away with it looking red raw and bruised, when he was chopped by Marufuji.
WINNER: Kenoh with the diving footstomp on Hitoshi Yamato (14 minutes, 56 seconds)
Katsuhiko Nakajima, 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm), Hi69 & Hitoshi Kumano vs Kaito Kiyomiya, Shuhei Taniguchi, Akitoshi Saito & RATELS (Tadasuke & HAYATA)
The champion and challenger faced off, with Katsuhiko Nakajima (who again came to the ring with the two tag belts) basically holding out his arms to signify that he would be starting. Taniguchi stood behind Kiyomiya, while the others in the two teams stood and watched.
WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Hi69 (13 minutes, 49 seconds)
MATCH SIX
Global Junior League
Daisuke Harada vs Minoru Tanaka
"It was just like a title match"
Naturally, Tanaka went for the knee that Stinger had injured a few days ago during this epic match which saw German suplexes from the apron, knee attacks, outside the ring brainbusters, dives over the railings and from the top turnbuckle. Tanaka may have attacked the knee, so Harada countered by attacking his neck.
WINNER: Time limit draw ~ 30 minutes
Daisuke Harada got on the microphone and yelled that it was same old repetitive chatter, and it didn't matter that he didn't win, because Tanaka didn't win either, and that he would once again win the league, and challenge for the title, even if Noah's fans didn't want it.
Noah's next show is the 15th July at Korakuen Hall
