Title was won from Mochimaru who they faced after winning Global Tag League 2020, making them the first gaijin team in history to win.
Then the reality of what was happening worldwide reared its ugly head in the form of the Coronavirus.
Soon after the title match, El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jnr left Japan to return to Mexico. Rene Dupree stayed on for some time more in Noah, having singles matches and famously coming to the ring wearing the belt upside down (which he was teased about the next day) and rocking out with it playing air guitar on it, before returning to Canada. With the Coronavirus shutting down travel (those coming to Japan had to be quarantined for two weeks, which of course would have caused visa issues), and with no end in sight as to when the virus would ease and travel in and out of the country would become less of an issue, Noah took the decision in August to have them vacate the belts. Rene Dupree appeared in a pre-taped message at The Noah Special Arena (aka Club Citta) and announced that the belts were up for grabs. He laid his belt in the ring symbolically and warned before he left that he and El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jnr would be back for them as they would be the first challengers. But, he had one final request, that the belts would be competed for by The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba) and AXIZ (Go Shiozaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima).
