Takami Ohbari, President of New Japan, and Narihiro Takeda, Director of Noah, attended the conference today which was held as an "impromptu press conference." President Obari said, "The 8th January will be different from the usual New Japan produce. This is the first step in realizing dream matches. Next year will be a dream of the power of pro wrestling towards post corona, and there is a desire to make an energetic year in agreement with Noah. Noah will participate in the Yokohama Arena event on the 8th January. I want this to be a driving force for fans to be able to rise from the coronavirus crisis generated by the power of pro wrestling emitted by the meeting of these two promotions".
Director Takeda said enthusiastically, "I want to make the event that breaks down the sense of impasse in the world with the power of professional wrestling".
The two promotions will meet in the ring for the first time since the end of 2016 when Suzuki-Gun was participating in Noah.
