(NOAH) CARD: All Dogs Gather 3! The Sugiura Army produce (27th December 2021, Korakuen Hall)

It has become traditional in recent years to finish off the year with a Sugiura Army produce. Normally produces are non canon, but tonight's show sees a final pre match and like last year when titles were challenged for and Funky Kings were born, what happens is going to tie in with 2022. A lot may happen.

The event begins at 18:30 JST and will be broadcast live on ABEMA. Please note that you must watch the event live to view it in its entirety, sadly ABEMA does not let you join in half way through and neither can you watch replays. It hopefully should be free to view worldwide, but there will not be any English commentary. Please do not subscribe to ABEMA unless you are based in Japan due to the difficulty of finding a compatible VPN. You can view the first two matches for free on Noah's YouTube.

MATCH ONE
Perros Del Mal De Japon (YO-HEY & Ikuto Hidaka) vs Kai Fujimura and Yasutaka Yano

Takashi Sugiura books a classic Noah opener; two young boys take on two veterans. Not the elderly veterans that you would have had in Noah once upon a time, but still miles apart in experience from their young opponents. Both the young boys see it as a chance to learn and bring something new to The Budokan.

MATCH TWO
King Tani vs "Under Negotiation"

No one really took much notice of King Tani having a mystery opponent until on the eve of KENTA'S return, King Tani finished a match by using Go To Sleep. Backstage Tani said "I know the X in the negotiations. The man who made my dark history. I know. I will make him Funky too".

"The man who made my dark history" is KENTA, who created the NO MERCY unit that Maybach Taniguchi (his former incarnation) was in. Maybach Taniguchi was a terrifying monster who spoke in a roar or scream. Fans are divided as to whether it will be or won't be KENTA, but if it is no doubt the veterans decided that since all of them (Sugi, Marufuji, Akiyama, Kobashi and even to some extent Ogawa) had tried to get Tani to be something other than a funky King, which they take a very dim view of, and realize his potential, KENTA could perhaps kick some sense into him.

It should also be mentioned that King Tani was born at The Sugiura Produce last year, when Mohammed Yone offered to team with him.

MATCH THREE
Naomichi Marufuji, Hajime Ohara & Masao Inoue vs Kazushi Sakuraba, NOSAWA Rongai & Daisuke Nakamura

Masao Inoue true to form, gets booked into a match which Takashi Sugiura probably thinks is funny; teaming with Naomichi Marufuji and Hajime Ohara against two guys with an MMA background and therefore likely to pull his gouty feet rather than stamp on then, and NOSAWA Rongai (not above using weapons). For Hajime Ohara who is rediscovering his MMA background thanks to a singles match with Kazushi Sakuraba, this is probably a perfect match. Naomichi Marufuji loves trying out new things and facing new people in the ring, and so facing Daisuke Nakamura for the first time will be exciting for him.

MATCH FOUR
Kongoh (Katsuhiko Nakajima, Kenoh, Manabu Soya, Haoh & Nioh) vs Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Daiki Inaba & Momo No Seishun (Daisuke Harada & Atsushi Kotoge)

This is the final pre-match between Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Go Shiozaki, and Kaito Kiyomiya vs Kenoh before the Nippon Budokan on the 1st January 2022. If that wasn't a recipe to make this explosive enough with Kiyomiya vowing revenge against Kenoh for knocking him out during the last match in Yokohama and then disrespecting him all over the room by shoving the belt in his face and pulling his head up, throw in Atsushi Kotoge who is out to salvage at least one win before the end of the year, and the Noah Juniors, none of who are going to be able to stay out of the ring when any other Noah Junior is in it. This match is going to be chaos with a possible and probable upset as a finale.

MATCH FIVE
Kazuyuki Fujita vs Masato Tanaka

With the carnage of whatever happens with King Tani and whatever happens in the last match swept away, it's time for some very hard hitting action.

MATCH SIX
Takashi Sugiura vs Masakatsu Funaki

The main event sees Takashi Sugiura against Masakatsu Funaki. Funaki of course is an MMA fighter/pro wrestler, and Noah in recent years have started to incorporate that style into some of their matches and a lot of their younger wrestlers receive additional training in it. Takashi Sugiura can count this as a background too. It is going to be an interesting match.
