(NOAH) Ten wrestlers including Kiyomiya and Ogawa will be absent, multiple wrestlers and staff affected with corona. Two title matches on 16th January in Sendai will be held as planned.

Noah announced on the 14th that several wrestlers and staff were infected with Coronavirus. The ten wrestlers, including Kaito Kiyomiya, Yoshinari Ogawa and Yoshiki Inamura, who were scheduled to participate in Noah's next big event in Sendai on the 16th January, will miss the event. The two GHC title matches will be held as scheduled, but some cards have been changed.
In Noah, Yasutaka Yano has been absent from the 10th January Yokohama event due to poor physical condition, but multiple athletes and staff members are positive or have received the designation of being a close contact. For this reason, ten athletes; Yoshinari Ogawa, Junta Miyawaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Yoshiki Inamura, Kinya Okada, Yasutaka Yano, Super Crazy, Tadasuke, Daiki Inaba and Masato Tanaka, who were originally scheduled to participate at the Sendai event will be absent. Regarding ZERO1's Masato Tanaka, although the result of the PCR test was negative, he was absent due to poor physical condition. The card for the Sendai event has been changed due to the absence of the ten wrestlers. It has now changed from seven to six matches, with the GHC Heavyweight Championship match of Katsuhiko Nakajima (Champion) vs Masa Kitamiya (Challenger) and the GHC Tag Championship match with Keiji Mutoh and Naomichi Marufuji (Champions) vs Kenoh and Manabu Soya (Challengers), to be held as scheduled.
This is the largest outbreak to hit a Japanese wrestling promotion, and Kiyomiya made a statement regarding absence;
"I very much apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the Sendai event. From New Year 2022 we have been united in getting a lot of attention, and I was thinking "from here", and so I am really sorry. But, because this is such a time, I want us to support each other and work together to overcome Corona. We apologize for the inconvenience to all the fans and related parties, and we promise to show the power of pro wrestling by creating the best event with the wrestlers and staff who can participate. We promise to show you the power of pro wrestling".
The changed cards of the 16th January Sendai event following the announcement due to the absence of ten wrestlers have been changed as follows;
