DIRECTOR NARIHIRO TAKEDA: Thank you for joining us today. Today, the first announcement will be about Noah's affiliation with Abid Haroon. We are pleased to announce that Abid Haroon is a 97kg wrestler, and will become a member of Pro Wrestling Noah. Abid is a relative of the legendary Pakistani wrestler, Akram Pahalwan, and has come to Japan with the help of Antonio Inoki. Currently, he is studying at the Nippon Sport Science University Wrestling Club, and is aiming to represent Pakistan at the 2024 Paris Olympics by incorporating pro wrestling training. In addition, he is aiming to enter pro wrestling and after the Paris Olympics, will enter Noah's dojo with an aim to becoming a Noah wrestler. Please look forward to the future success of Abid Haroon.
HAROON: Good evening. I am Abid Haroon. Currently I belong to the Nippon Sport Science University Wrestling Club in the 97kg class. At the moment I am aiming for the 2024 Paris Olympics, after that finishes I will practice with Noah, doing my best to aim for a debut in pro wrestling.
Q: How did you become a member of Noah?
TAKEDA:  I met him after he was introduced by someone related to IGF*, as a wrestling athlete from the Nippon Sport Science University, who was interested in Noah. As we are looking for young athletes who want to become pro wrestlers. The conversation was triggered by his desire to do pro wrestling at Noah, but before that he wants to aim for the Olympics again. Next year the qualifying will be in Paris. I would like you to aim for this with distinction and support you as well.
Q: What are your plans regarding moving into the Noah Dojo on scheduled graduation?
TAKEDA: He will practice at the Nippon Sport Science University until April next year, and he will not enter Noah during that time, but will start after aiming for The Olympics. If he was was to go to the Olympics, he will enter the dojo in 2024.
Q: Without creating an amateur wrestling system like the Bushiroad Club in New Japan, you will temporarily have an amateur wrestler?
TAKEDA: The premise is that you need to be a Noah wrestler. In the period until he does, I will respect his wishes and support his aim for the Olympics as much as possible, but basically I think that it will take the form of practicing at the Nippon Sport Science University.
Q: Where do you feel the attraction in Noah's pro wrestling?
HAROON: I was introduced to Udagawa Tsuyoshi (former IGF), who showed me a pro wrestling match, which I thought was quite shocking but awesome. Even though my family has done pro wrestling, I have been thinking about doing it since I was little, but when I saw that match I wanted to do it myself.
Q: Are there any wrestlers you admire?
HAROON: From the start of when Inoki bought me to Japan, I watched his matches and that of Noah wrestlers.
Q: What words did you say when you told Inoki you where joining Noah?
HAROON: He supports my view and I was told "Please do your best".

With the Great Gama, one of the greatest wrestlers in history as an ancestor, he is a descendant of the legendary martial arts clan and a relative of one of the greatest wrestlers in history, Akram Pahalwan, who had a fierce battle with Antonio Inoki. With the support of Inoki, who met the Pahalwan family with no hard feelings when he visited Pakistan in 2014, he came to study in Japan. Although he had no experience in martial arts until he came to Japan, he practiced judo at the Nittaidai Ebara High School for a year after his arrival and wrestling training during his tine at the Nippon Sport Science University Kashiwa High School. Rapidly, he made a name for himself.

In 2019, he was ranked 5th in the 97kg class of the Asian Junior Championships, and in 2019 won the Asian Junior Championship 5th place at 97kg class weight. In 2021, he rose to become a runner up in the 125kg class of the All Japan University Championship. At the 2022 Tokyo Olympics, he aimed to participate as a representative of Pakistan, the first ever ever since 1996, but lost in the Asian qualifying. His success in the future is expected.
