SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 (Yokohama Radiant Hall, Friday 24th June)

THE TOUGH TRIO (Michael Elgin, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura) vs Takashi Sugiura, Hideki Suzuki & Timothy Thatcher

The best way to describe this match would have been as one massive power fight between every single person.

WINNER: Timothy Thatcher with The Fujiwara Arm Bar on Masa Kitamiya (18 minutes, 40 seconds)

Thatcher had defeated one of the GHC Heavyweight Tag Champions, and Hideki Suzuki was going to capitalize on that. Thatcher too, made belt motions as Suzuki got on the mic and said;

"It's easily understood, champion. Two people stand here, as the champion lost. We will challenge for the GHC tag title, and do it any time!"

The title challenge was accepted by the champions, who had been asking for a while for a team to step forward. Masa Kitamiya said he was delighted with the team of Hideki Suzuki and Timothy Thatcher ("Double T") as their first challengers. As for the challengers themselves, Hideki Suzuki said that "this man who has come from the United States" would be his partner, and that he had gotten good results too. Thatcher talked about the Fujiwara Armbar, and how they won with it.

The Sugiura Army International (Rene Dupree, Timothy Thatcher & El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr) vs THE TOUGH TRIO (Yoshiki Inamura, Masa Kitamiya & Michael Elgin)

The venue was shaking with the heavyweight interaction, throughout which Masa Kitamiya was seen instructing Yoshiki Inamura. At the end of the match, the GHC Heavyweight Tag champions unveiled their new finisher.

WINNER: Michael Elgin with the Double Impact Elgin Bomb on Rene Dupree (16 minutes, 3 seconds)

SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 (Sunday, July 3rd - Yamagata Big Wing, Yamagata)
Kaito Kiyomiya, Michael Elgin & Masa Kitamiya vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Timothy Thatcher & Hideki Suzuki)
WINNER: Hideki Suzuki with the Royal Stretch on Masa Kitamiya (19 minutes, 55 seconds)

The loss was humiliating for the champions, as their challengers keep besting them and time is running out before the Nippon Budokan on the 16th.

SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 - Sunday July 10th, Fujisan Messe, Shizuoka
Masa Kitamiya, Yoshiki Inamura. Shuhei Taniguchi & Daiki Inaba vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hideki Suzuki, Timothy Thatcher & El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr)
WINNER: Timothy Thatcher over Shuhei Taniguchi with the Fujiwara Armbar on Shuhei Taniguchi (17 minutes, 21 seconds)

Hideki Suzuki was seen to be cooling Timothy Thatcher down afterwards, and telling him to wait until The Budokan next week. Backstage, Thatcher said, "Let's talk about pro wrestling, we have a lot of ways to beat you."

13th July 2022: Belts vacated
Michael Elgin was absent from the fan event on the 9th July, and then was absent again on the 10th in Fujisan Messe. Noah announced as Elgin was unable to defend them, the belts would be vacated on 13th July. At the time of writing, Noah have not explained why this is with Pro Wrestling DX saying only "various reasons". Yoshiki Inamura took Michael Elgin's place, and THE TOUGH will fight for the vacant belts at the Nippon Budokan as planned.
