(NOAH) EVENT RECAP: SUNNY VOYAGE 2023 (Saturday April 8th, Osaka ATC Hall (ATC Museum) * B2 floor, Osaka)

Noah announced an attendance of 355. When fans arrived at the venue, Katsuhiko Nakajima  was in the ring practicing (I think Kenoh may also have been with him). Later, as this is Osaka, HAYATA was on autographs, wearing his milky colored cat eyes. One fan described this as, "So cool I can't stop trembling. I am going to die".

Today's event was not shown live on WrestleUniverse (it will be streamed from 18:00 JST on the 11th April). You must be a subscriber to view. As the event was not streamed live, I have more information on some matches than others, thanks to fans live tweeting. Credit is given at the bottom.

MATCH ONE
Kinya Okada vs Taishi Ozawa
Winner: Kinya Okada with Headscissors (6 minutes, 40 seconds)

MATCH TWO
Ninja Mac, Seiki Yoshioka & Alejandro vs Super Crazy, Xtreme Tiger & Lanzelot
Winner: Xtreme Tiger with the Reverse Face Bomb ob Alejandro (9 minutes, 4 seconds)

After the match Xtreme Tiger hinted that "The Mexican Trio" where a unit and said that they would take on anyone.

MATCH THREE
Hideki Suzuki & Saxon Huxley vs Kongoh Juniors (Hajime Ohara & Hi69)

Naturally, the two Noah Juniors/Kongoh juniors attacked their much larger and heavier opponents before the bell, but as one fan put it "Kongoh Jnr was torn apart" outside the ring.

Winner: Saxon Huxley with the Neck Hanging Bomb on HI69 (8 minutes, 5 seconds)

After the match Hajime Ohara was thrown out of the ring, and HI69 (who you would have thought had suffered enough) took a knee drop from Huxley as Hideki Suzuki assisted. Hideki Suzuki said later that he wanted Saxon to continue like this, even though he couldn't control him.

MATCH FOUR
El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr & Yoshinari Ogawa vs Good Looking Guys (Jack Morris & Tadasuke)

I'm not sure about the GHC Junior Tag pre match, but the GHC National match grew vicious, with El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr revealing an unseen side of himself, when he attacked Jack Morris with a chair

Winner: El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr with the Wagner Driver on Jack Morris (12 minutes, 3 seconds)

Apparently El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr did another Wagner Driver on Morris after winning, and backstage told him that this was "just the beginning".

MATCH FIVE
AMAKUSA & Atsushi Kotoge vs HAYATA & Yasutaka Yano
Winner: HAYATA with the Headache on AMAKUSA (11 minutes, 55 seconds)

Afterwards, HAYATA silently stood over AMAKUSA and pointed to the belt. Backstage, he said that, "as you can see, the belt is mine" and said he would create a new Noah Junior.

MATCH SIX
Eita vs YO-HEY
Winner: Eita with Imperial Uno (10 minutes, 37 seconds)

Tadasuke got into the ring after the match, to be greeted with Eita's boot as Eita kicked him with the Imperial Uno. Afterwards, Eita tore off YO-HEY'S GLG t-shirt (fans have noticed that YO-HEY has dyed his tongue black) and placing one boot on YO-HEY'S chest, held the ripped t-shirt up alongside the tag belt.

YO-HEY said that losing today was lamentable, but he and Tadasuke had something that Eita and Ogawa didn't; they had been together for a very long time, and, they had a "total bond". Eita, referring to himself as an "eternal champion", said the only thing that had changed about YO-HEY was his costume.

MATCH SEVEN
Kaito Kiyomiya, Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba & Yoshiki Inamura vs Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura, Shuhei Taniguchi & Sean Legacy.

"After a 12 hour flight, I finally made my debut with Pro Wrestling Noah! A dream come true. I feel so good I can't even describe it in words. Thank you." (Sean Legacy)

Takashi Sugiura has stressed that the challenge for the belts is Shuhei Taniguchi's, and therefore it was Taniguchi's pre match with the tag champions, not his.

Kaito Kiyomiya was looking well much to the relief of fans, and he had a big smile for everyone. However, he had dared his opponents (Naomichi Marufuji considered this to be himself, Takashi Sugiura and the debuting Sean Legacy, Shuhei Taniguchi not included) to come at him, and come at him they did, Marufuji chopping him outside the ring.

Sean Legacy made his Noah debut today, and won the match with a move that amazed fans.

Winner: Sean Legacy with the Swan Dive 450° Splash on Yoshiki Inamura (16 minutes, 6 seconds)

Backstage, while Legacy talked to the camera to say how happy he was to have come to Noah, Takashi Sugiura was left hanging again by Shuhei Taniguchi.

MATCH EIGHT
Jake Lee & Anthony Green vs Kongoh (Kenoh & Katsuhiko Nakajima)

Kenoh bought all three of his championship belts with him; the two All Japan World Heavyweight Tag Belts (Manabu Soya was absent today in Champion Carnival) and the DragonGate TwinGate tag belt.

Jake Lee was laughing most of the way through the pre match with Katsuhiko Nakajima (except when Nakajima kicked him and looked down with his eerie grin) and even when he had Nakajima in a Boston Crab he was shouting "Katsuhiko! Katsuhiko!", but Jake won today when the referee stopped the match as Nakajima refused to tap to the Cobra Twist and almost passed out. Backstage, he said he would never have quit and the match shouldn't have been stopped just like that.

Winner: Jake Lee with the Cobra Twist on Katsuhiko Nakajima (referee stop, 20 minutes, 10 seconds)

Jake took the mic after the match and told Nakajima, "Kicking someone's stomach without hesitation, asshole. But "Madness for Madness". Laugh it up Nakajima, I'll be laughing at the end". Nakajima replied, "(The next) Osaka must be in June. Dear customers, I will bring this belt again then. Come and watch, okay? How can I be so affirmative!? That's because I'm taking the helm now."
