NOAH CARD - SUNNY VOYAGE 2023, Shinjuku Face (Wednesday May 31st)

Noah's final event of May 2023 has a GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag title match, junior chaos in the STINGER match, a junior team who have formed an unlikely alliance making their first appearance, and not to be outdone, the heavyweights finish off the show with a kick fight from Hell.

Jake Lee will be on autographs, but is not billed to be in any matches, although I would imagine that he will be at ringside a couple of times. Doors open at 17:45 with the event starting at 18:30. Event will be broadcast on WrestleUniverse. You must be a subscriber to view.

MATCH ONE
Manabu Soya vs Taishi Ozawa

The rookie Taishi Ozawa comes up against one half of the All Japan World Heavyweight Tag Champions, who are fresh off their victory over Voodoo Murders and as a result, Kongoh open and close the show.

MATCH TWO
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Chris Ridgeway & Daga) vs Kongoh Juniors (Shuji Kondo, Hajime Ohara & Hi69)

While Kongoh's victory in the match before is most likely assured, in this one it may not be. STINGER were always a ruthless team, but now they have taken it up a notch with ring intrusions, distractions, weapons and attacks from the apron. Their opponents are going to need eyes in the backs of their head.

MATCH THREE
Sean Legacy vs Stallion Rogers

Noah have hyped the start of this rivalry with a video that gives the impression that Stallion Rogers is either stalking Sean Legacy all over Japan, or else Rogers has gotten inside of his head, following Legacy wherever he goes.

MATCH FOUR
HAYATA & Eita vs Dante Leon & Junta Miyawaki

HAYATA and Eita, one of Noah's most unlikely alliances, make their first appearance as a team. They are not fighting STINGER though, although no doubt STINGER will make an appearance at some point. HAYATA'S focus at the moment isn't STINGER though, his focus is on Dante Leon who so far he hasn't been able to score a victory over directly in the pre matches.

MATCH FIVE
Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura) & Daiki Inaba vs Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura, Shuhei Taniguchi & Funky Express (Mohammed Yone & Akitoshi Saito)

Wild ten man match as Noah's seniors go up against a team made of their juniors (and in the case of Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya and Yoshiki Inamura, their own Noah Born). This is going to be a generational war. No one here is having any kind of pre match, so expect an intense fight, with no doubt Jake Lee looking on as Takashi Sugiura sends a message.

MATCH SIX
GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match
Good Looking Guys (YO-HEY & Tadasuke) vs Atsushi Kotoge & Seiki Yoshioka

The champions YO-HEY & Tadasuke finally take on their challengers, whom perhaps are not as cohesive as Atsushi Kotoge with his talk of bonds and trust been partners would have you believe. Each team has their strengths; YO-HEY has dropkick, Tadasuke his strength, Atsushi Kotoge is Killswitch which he has modified to incorporate Daisuke Harada's knee strikes and Seiki Yoshioka his speed, but only one team will have both the teamwork and the strength to win.

MAIN EVENT
Kenoh vs Katsuhiko Nakajima

Grudge match. Kick Fight From Hell. Fans watched as Go Shiozaki lost his return match and then was taunted by Katsuhiko Nakajima, who had pinned him. Nakajima taunted Shiozaki, telling him to get to his feet, but just when it looked as if he was going to relish striking him down, he actually offered him his hand and AXIZ were reborn. As AXIZ clung to each other, Kenoh confronted Nakajima furiously before leaving the ring in a rage. Since then (May 4th), the two haven't been in the ring, but there was the terrifying face off backstage in Niigata when Kenoh confronted Nakajima, said nothing and did nothing but glare, before retreating silently...

AXIZ have been talking about challenging for tag belts. The Noah GHC Heavyweight Tag has already been challenged for, but no one has come for the All Japan World Tag...
