(NOAH) EVENT RECAP: SUNNY VOYAGE 2023 - OSAKA ATC HALL (ATC MUSEUM) *B2 FLOOR (Sunday 18th June 2023)

Today's event will be streamed on WrestleUniverse on the 21st June from 18:00 JST. Currently free viewing is on offer, but this will not be the case if you are reading this at a much later date. As the show was not streamed, I don't have too much information on what happened, but thanks to live tweeting fans (credit given at the end), I have been able to get a little.

When fans arrived at the venue, Yoshinari Ogawa was holding a "classroom" with Kaito Kiyomiya and one of the new trainees. Sadly during the show, Noah did not mark the fact that today would have been Mitsuharu Misawa's 61st birthday.

MATCH ONE
Mohammed Yone & Super Crazy vs Stallion Rogers & Kai Fujimura
WINNER: Super Crazy with a Hurricanrunna on Kai Fujimura (8 minutes, 8 seconds)

MATCH TWO
Manabu Soya vs HI69
Winner: Manabu Soya via Jumping DDT  (7 minutes, 7 seconds)

Despite the fact that HI69 has left the unit, after the match Soya checked on him.

MATCH THREE
HAYATA & Eita vs Dante Leon & Alejandro

Although he had lost to HAYATA, Dante Leon (who seemed to be suffering some back pain which is unsurprising) carried on their feud. Eita was very popular, with the crowd chanting for him. He gave HAYATA the assist for the win.

WINNER: HAYATA via moonsault on Alejandro (8 minutes, 20 seconds)

Backstage, Eita declared the team of himself and HAYATA (HAYATA as far as I know had vanished) to be "in perfect form" and to watch them when they would next team on the 22nd.

MATCH FOUR
El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr & STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa & Chris Ridgeway) vs Sean Legacy, AMAKUSA & Seiki Yoshioka

The children in the crowd seemed to love Sean Legacy in particular, and he was smiling at their support today. Regarding the GHC National, no one has still come to challenge, although fans thought that AMAKUSA might.

Winner: El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr with the Wagner Driver on AMAKUSA (14 minutes, 59 seconds)

As no challenger has come forward, El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr demanded that someone do.

MATCH FIVE
REAL (Saxon Huxley, Timothy Thatcher, Hideki Suzuki & Shuhei Taniguchi) vs Kaito Kiyomiya, THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura) & Daiki Inaba

Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher, the GHC Heavyweight Tag Champions, in their usual wild manner held the belts up to their last challengers, THE TOUGH. Shuhei Taniguchi apparently fits in really well with REAL. Or so it was thought when he did the bomb move on Kaito Kiyomiya using Timothy Thatcher and Hideki Suzuki, but he didn't use Saxon. Saxon used him. Then, Kaito Kiyomiya got the win over him, which is unfortunate as he only joined the unit yesterday.

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Transformed Shining Wizard on Shuhei Taniguchi (16 minutes, 52 seconds)

Taniguchi was bundled off backstage as with a roar his team hustled him through the commentary booth. The only person who was speaking in human words was Hideki Suzuki who could be heard saying, "Next...next..."

MATCH SIX
AXIZ (Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima) vs Kongoh (Kenoh & Hajime Ohara)

After being chopped by Go Shiozaki and tagging in Hajime Ohara, Kenoh was heard to lean on the ropes and say something like "Oh my God!".

Winner: Go Shiozaki with the Strong Arm lariat on Hajime Ohara (10 minutes)

Go Shiozaki and Kenoh squared up after the match. Backstage, Kenoh cut one of his loud screaming promos, ranting about Katsuhiko Nakajima who had said something to the effect of Kenoh's anniversary show was being marketed as if it was Kenoh only doing it, and not Noah. Kenoh told him that he could talk, look at his self promotion. Naturally, everyone in the venue heard him during the next match.

MATCH SEVEN
YO-HEY vs Daga

Poor YO-HEY was meant to have a singles match with Daga, but the presence of Chris Ridgeway at ringside, meant that this was two on one.

Winner: Daga with an armbar submission (11 minutes, 32 seconds)

After the match, Daga stepped on YO-HEY'S left arm, which he had apparently been attacking all the way through the match, before Ridgeway put the belt over him. Then more fighting broke out.

MATCH EIGHT
Good Looking Guys (Jake Lee, Jack Morris & Tadasuke) vs Takashi Sugiura, Naomichi Marufuji & Atsushi Kotoge

"The continuation of yesterday has begun"

Naomichi Marufuji was on form, having a "pectoral muscles" fight with Jack Morris, and chopping Tadasuke by pulling his shirt over his head.

Winner: Tadasuke  with the Good Looking Piledriver on Atsushi Kotoge (18 minutes, 56 seconds)

After the match Jake Lee and Tadasuke closed out the show. Tadasuke said they would defend and return to Osaka as champions, Jake said the crowd didn't want to hear that, he told him to make a GLG chant, which Tadasuke did.
