Before the event started
BUSHI and Kongoh's Shuji Kondo set up pop up shops at Ryogoku station, BUSHI sold Chicken Karaage and Kondo his patisserie. I think BUSHI may have sold out his product very quickly. Kondo was on hand at his stall to take pictures with fans.
The Mitsuharu Misawa tribute video played. This will be played at some Noah venues throughout June, which has been announced to be Misawa memorial month. Misawa merchandise was also on sale.
The attendance was not so good sadly (6,569 for Ryogoku Kokugikan), fans felt it would have been better had this not been a weekday.
The event
Results can be found here.
Hiroshi Tanahashi, Suwama and Go Shiozaki appeared after the first or second match. They were the in the original main event 12 years ago as the IWGP (Tanahashi), Triple Crown (Suwama) and GHC Heavyweight (Go Shiozaki). The original band, FUNKIST, also appeared. Tanahashi played air guitar. Suwama and Shiozaki did not join in. They went to stand at the corners of the ring and watched.
Go Shiozaki got booed for chopping Satoshi Kojima!
Zack Sabre JNR (who wondered where Yoshinari Ogawa was tonight, although you can bet that he was probably watching their match) said he wanted to come to Noah with TMDK. Chris Ridgeway said he was interested in "Chad Sabre Jnr's belt", and said he would fight him for it in either New Japan or Noah.
Ren Narita said he wanted a singles match with Naomichi Marufuji, and seemingly also Takashi Sugiura! Marufuji said he was interested and would do one if Narita wanted. Later he joined the commentary team. As for Marufuji's calling Minoru Suzuki an "old man" who he didn't think was feeling too good, Suzuki warned him (and Sugiura) that he could go with them any time.
HAYATA (who I don't think the past two days were easy for, considering he was belt hiding yesterday), said that he wasn't going to take part in another of these events. He is interested in a belt vs belt with Hiromu Takahashi though. Fans said that he seemed to initiate the interest in the ring, and the three champions (HAYATA, Takahashi and Atsuki Aoyagi) all held their belts up together.
Kenoh and Hiroshi Tanahashi did start the match, and while Kaito Kiyomiya was seen to practically be stalking Kazuchika Okada around the ring when the teams made their entry, the match ended with Okada pinning Tanahashi (who Okada had called a "fucking old man" at the press conference). It turned out that Yuma Aoyagi, was indeed the lubricating oil between Kenoh and Okada, who shared a fist bump. After the match, Kiyomiya switched from stalking Okada at ALL TOGETHER, to threatening to crush him at the G1.
