(NOAH) CARD: SUNNY VOYAGE 2023 - Gunma / G Messe Gunma C Hall (Sunday July 23rd)

Tonight's event starts at 17:30 JST (doors open at 16:30), and will be broadcast on WrestleUniverse on the 26th July from 18:00 JST. 

With the heavyweights gearing up for the N-1 not many title challenges are going to be made and in any case neither the GHC National or the GHC Heavyweight Tag champions are here tonight, and it's too short a time before the league begins to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight. The junior division is a different matter however, HAYATA retained the GHC Junior, and the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag will be fought over by four teams at a later date. 

MATCH ONE

Yoshiki Inamura vs Yu Owada

I feel quite sorry for Yu Owada in this match as he's going to get launched into space and then squished on the way down.

MATCH TWO

Shuhei Taniguchi vs Taishi Ozawa

Shuhei Taniguchi (despite the teasing he gets from his seniors and the oft disapproval of his Grand seniors) is actually very good with the trainees, especially when it comes to advising them when tagging. However, this is not a tag, but Ozawa (similar height if lacking in experience) should get a good lesson. 

MATCH THREE

Yoshinari Ogawa, LEONA & Kai Fujimura vs AMAKUSA, Super Crazy & Junta Miyawaki

With the traditional young boy opening out of the way, we now move on to the main cards. Yoshinari Ogawa has been in a foul mood recently; forced to team with rookies like Fujimura or LEONA (who we saw he doesn't like), and embarrassed by youngsters like Junta Miyawaki, no doubt tonight is not going to be a pleasurable experience for anyone. Also, the new team of AMAKUSA and Junta Miyawaki has formed, so this will be the first time we see them in action. 

MATCH FOUR

Naomichi Marufuji, Mohammed Yone & Lance Anoa'i vs Masa Kitamiya, Manabu Soya & Daiki Inaba

The perpetually curious Naomichi Marufuji teams with Lance Anoa'i, who is new to Noah and has so far picked up wins in each match he has been in. Neither Mohammed Yone or Naomichi Marufuji are in the N-1 this year, but everyone else is, so this match is going to be wild especially as we saw that Manabu Soya and Masa Kitamiya did not exactly get along last time when Kitamiya attempted to help Soya after the match, and Soya snatched his arm away and shoved him aside.

MATCH FIVE

Ninja Mack & Hajime Ohara vs Alejandro & Seiki Yoshioka

Junior tag match where no doubt Ninja Mack, Alejandro and Seiki Yoshioka will try and outdo each other, other than that, these four don't really have any reason to be in the ring together...but with that being said, the junior heavyweights are now pairing off into tags, and I do wonder if Alejandro and Hajime Ohara may form their own alliance.

MATCH SIX

Good Looking Guys (Jake Lee, Jack Morris, Anthony Green, YO-HEY & Tadasuke) vs Kenoh, Adam Brooks, Stallion Rogers, HAYATA & Eita

With the presence of HAYATA in this match, it does make you wonder if he will get a title challenge, and if he does, it will most likely be either from Eita (as YO-HEY and Tadasuke are concentrating on the GHC Junior Tag) as Eita has declared he is the "face if the Noah Juniors", or someone else after the match. But before all of that happens (or not) Eita no doubt is going to try and make "friends" with Kenoh (not a good idea), Adam Brooks (says he neither wants or needs friends as he is here to win) and Stallion Rogers, who is an enemy of Anthony Greens (and by that extension GLG) and was destroyed by Adam Brooks the first time they were in the ring together, who told him that "this is my ring". 

MATCH SEVEN

AXIZ (Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima) vs Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69

Atsushi Kotoge and HI69 are another of Noah's newest tag teams, but I'm not sure what chance they stand against AXIZ. Poor Kotoge got chopped by Go Shiozaki, which even made Katsuhiko Nakajima wince, so pity his poor chest in this match as no doubt Shiozaki will be back for round two.
