(NOAH) EVENT RECAP: SUNNY VOYAGE 2023 (Osaka Edion Arena Osaka 2nd Stadium, Saturday November 11th)

Event recap

As the event was not streamed live, and as not much really happened (i.e. no unit changes, junior chaos, title challenges), it is probably easier for me to give a short summary. 

- Takashi Sugiura and Kai Fujimura linked their arms over each others shoulders (like REAL), but I am not sure if they did the bounce, but REAL certainly did and then attacked them.   

- After taking the King Kong Lariat (two to the back of the head apparently), fans were concerned that Daga seemed dizzy. He soon rallied and growled on social media that Kondo had gotten lucky, next time he wouldn't be. 

- Junta Miyawaki was noted to have suddenly bulked up. Shuji Kondo told him backstage that he had challenged Daga to set an example to him. 

- LEONA is still chasing Eita. Eita has probably forgotten who he is, as his own promo was about his upcoming match in his hometown.

- NOSAWA Rongai was seen watching from the balcony. 

Then we have the story of Go Shiozaki, Jake Lee, and Go Shiozaki's butt when on social media the day before, Go Shiozaki and Jake Lee had this exchange;

Jake: Re Go Shiozaki eating too much. Is your ass okay after eating so much spicy food?

Shiozaki: Don't worry, it's good. Good looking nice guy!!

Jake: Then tomorrow I'll kick you in the ass. 

Shiozaki replied something like “While you aim for my butt, I'll aim for your neck”

Aiming for Shiozaki's butt was something that Jake apparently did, so much so that at the end of the match (and even though he won), Shiozaki was seen holding his butt with his right hand. Fans commented things that, "Shiozaki won, but his butt was seriously damaged" and "Your butt looks sore today". This was said to be a fun, not too serious match, with everyone enjoying themselves (plus Jake and YO-HEY putting Eita and HAYATA in a double Paradise Lock). 

- Kenoh (who remembered to bring the belt to Osaka, or probably more correctly, Noah got it back off of him and packed it safely on the bus), defeated Manabu Soya in their first pre-match and closed out the show with;

"The spectacular view at Pro Wrestling Noah...HEY! Manabu Soya! There are only a limited number of people who can create such a spectacular view. There is no way it can be created with the current Manabu Soya. Pro Wrestling Noah is still developing". (Kenoh then gestures with his fingers) "I can only see a little of the spectacular view, but I will create it. and that depends on Manabu Seiya, who I just mentioned, right? There's still time until January 2nd. Hey, Soya, get up to that level!"

MATCH FOUR

Takashi Sugiura & Kai Fujimura vs REAL (Saxon Huxley & Shuhei Taniguchi)

Winner: Saxon Huxley defeats Kai Fujimura with the Neck Hanging Bomb (9 minutes, 23 seconds)

MATCH FIVE

STINGER (Eita & Yoshinari Ogawa) and LEONA vs Shuji Kondo, Hajime Ohara & Junta Miyawaki

Winner: Shuji Kondo defeats Daga with the King Kong Lariat, (which he took two to the back of the head) (13 minutes, 24 seconds)

MATCH SIX

Good Looking Guys (Jack Morris, Anthony Green & LJ Cleary) vs Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba & Ryohei Oiwa

Winner: Daiki Inaba defeated Anthony Green with the DDD (17 minutes, 29 seconds)

MATCH SEVEN

Good Looking Guys (Jake Lee, YO-HEY & Tadasuke) vs Go Shiozaki, HAYATA & Eita

Winner: Go Shiozaki defeats Tadasuke with the Gowan Lariat (11 minutes, 14 seconds)

MATCH EIGHT

Kenoh & El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr vs Manabu Soya & Kaito Kiyomiya

Winner: Kenoh defeats Manabu Soya with the Kenoh Special (19 minutes, 13 seconds)
