12th September 2000 (Issue 994)
Akiyama and Takayama have already formed a tag team! Their opponents are Kobashi and Kikuchi. The battle between the old generation and the new generation has finally begun.
On Monday, August 28th at 1pm at the Noah office, Mitsuharu Misawa held a press conference to announce the card for the September 15th Differ Ariake event. The highlight of the show is the six man tag team match lined up for the semi final. Following on from the previous event (August 19th at Ariake). Akiyama and Takayama have already formed a tag team, and Kobashi will team up with Kikuchi to take on the challenge. Akiyama and Takayama have joined forces to overthrow the "old generation". As they are the ones leading Noah with the intention of leading their own generation, there is no doubt that they hold the key to Noah's future. However, Misawa said, "I don't think Akiyama and Takayama will be able to team up as they are," based on the relationship between the two so far. He also said, "I won't let them do as they want forever." Misawa will not be taking part in the new battle in the ring this time, but he may take some kind of action at the Ariake show on the 16th, which will be determined based on what happens on the 15th.
And Kobashi. A tag team with Kikuchi may be the perfect match to take on Akiyama and the others. Kobashi's wish to bring Kikuchi into the ring has finally become a reality, and with that in mind, there's no doubt he'll be full of energy as he heads to the ring on the day.
After the launch, Noah now set off into the open sea. Who will be the first to put his foot down against Akiyama, who has always been the at the centre of things up until now? Or will Akiyama continue to charge ahead and form a new order together with Takayama?
Either way, we can't take our eyes of Noah in September either.
