Weekly Pro
15th September 1955
Note about the title: The word "Meatball" was used to describe Japan's Imperial rising sun with rays flag by the GIs during the occupation.
The final match on the third day of the Tokyo show, was the much anticipated one-on-one bout between Carnera and Rikidozan. The match was a fierce clash of Rikidozan's signature karate chops and Carnera's explosive punches, but Rikidozan defeated Carnera with a commanding 2-0 victory.
"On the first day, the four wrestlers were introduced to the crowd" (From left - Carnera, Kruskamp, Rikidoan and Azumafuji"
(Sorry about the crop, there was a page line between Carnera and the others)
