The 1984 World's Strongest Tag League is in the middle of a fierce battle for the title. Hansen, aiming for his second consecutive championship, and his pro day team are in top form. Hansen's "Wheeee" longhorn has also risen to a new octave.
"I didn't even have time to rest," said Giant Baba as he entered the series. He was so busy that he couldn't even go golfing, something he had been looking forward to. "How I spend my next off-season will depend on what decision I make at the final round on the 12th," he said in a meaningful statement.
On November 19th, ring announcer Ryu Nakata and Mayumi Yatogo celebrated their three-year romance with wedding bells. Despite the unfortunate rain that day, the Kikka Hall at the Shinjuku Hilton Hotel was packed with All Japan wrestlers, with Nakata's senior colleague, Gunji Hara* and his wife acting as matchmakers. The large number of talented wrestlers, all versatile entertainers, created a lively atmosphere. Please give even more support to announcer Nakata, who will be teaming up with Mayumi.
Tiger Mask's autographed charity cards are on sale at each Strongest Tag Team event venue. They cost 500 yen each, with all profits going to social welfare facilities.
Notes
Gunji Hara: Ring announcer.
