The future of Noah, Daiki Odashima (24) is aiming for a major victory in his first singles match against the GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi (35).
In just his second year since his debut, Odashima became the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Champion (with Daga) at Ryogoku Kokugikan on the 11th. On the 17th at Korakuen Hall, he was personally nominated to face Hiromu Takahashi in the first round of the singles tournament "Noah Junior GRAND PRIX 2025 (opening November 8th at Korakuen Hall)." Hiromu, who joined the ranks of the Noah Juniors in July, defeated YO-HEY to take the belt at Korakuen Hall in September. He has since continued to invade the Ark's mat with wins over Eita and Junta Miyawaki.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the big match, Odajima stated firmly, "I have no anxiety." He exuded confidence, saying, "I've been able to fully incorporate the wrestling skills I've accumulated and the lucha skills I learned from Daga, and my love for Noah is second to none."
Regarding Hiromu, the outsider champion, he said quietly, "Of course, I know he has some respect for me." He then revealed a surprising similarity, "In an interview, he said that the match between Michael Modest and Takashi Sugiura (September 12, 2003, Nippon Budokan) left a strong impression on him, and I was shocked by it in the exact same way when I was little". He then said forcefully, "I really don't like the situation of having the belt taken by someone from another promotion."
Although Odashima is a title holder, he has never won a singles match. "It would be thrilling to get my first singles win against the current champion, who is also a top junior wrestler", he said excited about the showdown.
