(NOAH) In a fight without a theme, Misawa said "I'll make my move when the time is right".
(Issue No. 997)
The current focus on the Noah mat currently, is the battle between Kobashi and Akiyama. Originally, a tag team match featuring Misawa was scheduled for that day, but at Akiyama's request, a six-man tag team match involving Kobashi and Akiyama was promoted to the main event. Since losing to Akiyama in their inaugural match, Misawa and Ogawa have been on a winning streak. Their performance as a tag team is unmatched, dominating the team of Taue and Inoue from start to finish. They even used the runway to launch an attack midway through the match, securing a near-perfect victory, which marks their fourth consecutive win since their second inaugural match. However, despite their winning streak, they can't deny feeling a sense of dissatisfaction. The biggest reason for this feeling of dissatisfaction is not the content of the match, but the theme of the match. While Kobashi and Akiyama have a clear and major theme of battling for dominance in Noah, Misawa, who is taking a step back, continues to fight without a theme. Even so, Misawa said, "I'll make my move when the time is right." He also added, "Once Akiyama and Takayama solidify as a team, we'll be ready to go. I don't want to do it in an unstable state, because I don't want that to be used as an excuse if we lose."
It seems Misawa is also prepared to counter Akiyama, who continues to manipulate Noah. When will Misawa step onto the front lines!?
Notes
Misawa was later to comment after watching the antics between Ogawa and Inoue (who always somehow thought he could outsmart Ogawa), that "I've become more relaxed in the ring, and I can now laugh during matches".
