Misawa has now seriously stepped into the battle for control of Noah.

Up until now, Misawa had said he would "make a move when the time was right." Since the inauguration, his matches had been, "fights without a theme", but with Akiyama and others gaining momentum, it seems the time has finally come for him to make his move. 

On this day, Misawa teamed up with Ogawa to face Akiyama and Takayama. While these two are excellent individually, there was some concern about their performance as a tag team. Misawa and Ogawa, however, demonstrated their superior tag team skills, using brilliant teamwork to control the early stages of the match. 

However, after about ten minutes, Akiyama and Takayama, with their superior power and momentum, gradually fought back. Takayama and Akiyama each landed a jumping knee after running down the ramp, and they even performed a combined attack of a back drop and a throat slam. And the highlight was when Akiyama defeated Ogawa with an Exploder followed by a front lock.

Despite his defeat, Misawa praised his opponent's strength, saying, "They have momentum and power, and they have become invincible." He then vowed to make a comeback with his new team, "WAVE", saying, "The Untouchables end today. We'll start over from scratch as a new team."

At the Morioka tournament on October 20th, he teamed up with Kobashi and Taue to take on Akiyama, Omori, and Takayama, but he also said that it's not about winning with a special team, but rather that "it's meaningless unless we win with our usual team." 

Can "WAVE" formed by Misawa, Ogawa, Ikeda and Marufuji create a huge wave in Noah?!
