(NOAH) Misawa's attack on Vader's left arm awakens him!

Weekly Pro 31st October 2000
(Issue No. 1001)

Following their match at the Yokohama event on October 8th, Misawa and Vader faced each other for the second time in this series. What was different this time was that Misawa was the one to initiate the attack.
At the 7th April Matsumoto event, Misawa executed the reverse cross armbar, the same move that had destroyed Vader's left arm. Using this move, which had traumatized Vader, would give him a strategic advantage in the match, so this was a strategic choice.
However, this attack completely awakened Vader's spirit.
Vader, enraged to the point of fury, shook off the referee's attempts to stop him and charged relentlessly at Misawa, completely disregarding the disqualification. He lost all self-control and went on a rampage. Unable to bear it any longer, the members of WAVE rushed into the ring to rescue Misawa. However, Vader scattered them with a barrage of punches.
"Getting angry? Time has passed, so come up with a plan. Singles? I'm ready anytime. You are the one who is scared"
Despite Vader's furious outburst, Misawa remained surprisingly calm after the match. Come to think of it, in the ring after Vader had left, he and the members of the newly formed unit, WAVE, raised their arms in response to the cheers.
Misawa still has plenty of energy left, and that is why Vader will continue his reckless behavior to wear him down, until the day he can have a singles match with him, and make him suffer humiliation.
At this stage, it is Vader who is worried, and when that situation reverses, a singles match will probably happen.

Picture notes
Vader's lower right arm was not seriously injured, but his arm was hurt. This only strengthened Misawa's resolve.
Vader sent the referee flying when he attempted to stop his "out-of-control" rampage.
