To emerge victorious on the fiercely contested mat!!
Weekly Pro
February 1973
The splendid appearance of Giant Baba and the All Japan Pro Wrestling team as they visit Sanno and Hie shrines to pray for victory in 1973.
Disgusted by the deeply corrupt nature of Japanese professional wrestling, Giant Baba struck out on his own. He founded All Japan Pro Wrestling and, just over three months later, welcomed in 1973.
Having quickly dispelled the initial anxieties surrounding its inception, the promotion is forging ahead relentlessly, aiming to reign supreme in the fiercely competitive landscape of Japanese professional wrestling. Spearheaded by the world-renowned Giant Baba—and bolstered by the stellar performances of Sugiyama, Koma, Okuma, and others—the promotion is pinning its hopes this year on Tsuruta, a rookie of truly immense potential.
