Vs Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke
At the match on the 21st June at "NOAH GO FORWARD DAY 2" Daisuke Harada won the six man (YO-HEY himself and Tadasuke vs Kinya Okada, Yoshinari Ogawa and HAYATA) by pinning HAYATA and then beat him with repeated punches until everyone stormed the ring and a melee fight broke out. The fight between them continued as chaos reigned in the ring, as Harada threw him into the barrier and Tadasuke and YO-HEY dealt with Okada and Ogawa. When the dust had settled, Harada spoke on the microphone and made a challenge for the GHC Junior Heavyweight tag belts on behalf of himself and Tadasuke. Their challenge was accepted. The match will take place on the 19th July at Korakuen Hall.
Despite their dominance in an elimination match on the 18th July, which ended with the former RATELS eliminating first Yoshinari Ogawa (Tadasuke) and then Kotaro Suzuki (YO-HEY), with HAYATA left to be punished by his former friends, and Harada eventually getting the win, Tadasuke and Harada failed to capture the tag titles the next day. The match started off in the way all their matches did, with the usual brawl when Harada went for HAYATA. His intensity was through the roof, with one fan commenting that their heart was going insane watching it, and with no way to cheer. As it was put "everyone is clapping enough to tear the roof off". Yoshinari Ogawa was throwing elbows, which is rare. It was a bitterly fought match, Tadasuke insane as usual, but showing how deep his inner core is when he had HAYATA in a Boston Crab from which he refused to let go, despite eye rakes from Ogawa, which got more and more vicious, until Tadasuke was forced to break the hold before his eyes were gouged out. HAYATA got the win over Harada with The Headache after 23 minutes and 11 seconds. HAYATA then challenged Harada for the IPW Junior Heavyweight title.
VS FULL THROTTLE (Hajime Ohara & Atsushi Kotoge)
Atsushi Kotoge challenged Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA for the GHC Junior Heavyweight tag titles after Seiki Yoshioka scored the win for the team on the 10th August 2020 at "Noah The Chronicle Vol.3" at the Yokohama Bunka Gym. Atsushi Kotoge went to make the title challenge on behalf himself and Hajime Ohara, but much to his chagrin the microphone was off and by the time he got it to work, Yoshinari Ogawa had left the ring and gone into the back. At the time of writing no date has been set for the challenge, and FULL THROTTLE may have to find themselves jumping through hoops to even get a title challenge as no doubt Ogawa will say that as he didn't hear it, it doesn't count.
It didn't count. Ogawa made no mention of the tag challenge, and Noah never announced a date. Kotaro Suzuki once gave the sage advice that to Yoshinari Ogawa, in order to make a title challenge then simply saying it is not enough, you need to show him that you mean it. FULL THROTTLE got their chance to do this when Hajime Ohara (and lets face it, he is probably the only one who could do this), made Yoshinari Ogawa tap out to the Mui Bien, and Atsushi Kotoge seized the moment and challenged for the titles. Ogawa knew there was nothing he could do, he couldn't wriggle out of this or make FULL THROTTLE jump through hoops, and so the title challenge has been set for the 30th August at Noah's end of summer event, Kultz Kawasaki.
You would have thought that Ogawa's main target would have been Hajime Ohara, after all it was Ohara who had made him tap out, but no, both he and HAYATA were more interested in taking out Atsushi Kotoge and they did this by torturing him throughout the match by working relentlessly and sadistically on his legs. Mohammed Yone had predicted that Kotoge might be the one to take out Ogawa, after all having worked with him in STINGER, he knows him, but I think part of Ogawa's reason for attacking Kotoge so furiously is because he knows that if you want to poison a well, you go to the source. Ogawa might have been at his most sadistic, but he was also at his most devious and when Ogawa gets like this he uses everything that is possible from the referee, to his partner, and in this case his bootlaces. Outside the ring, Ogawa put one of his legs up on the mat and told the referee he was doing up his boots. He wasn't. He pulled Kotoge out of the ring.
The match was raw, energetic, gruelling and emotional. FULL THROTTLE wanted to win not only because the belts were on the line and they were in Hajime Ohara's hometown (and the title match meant a lot to him), but because they wanted to defeat STINGER and end their dominance over the Noah Juniors. Sadly, Atsushi Kotoge who was somewhat delirious by the end of the match due to the damage caused to him had no choice in the end but to tap to Ogawa. Backstage Hajime Ohara commented that this wasn't over, even more than ever FULL THROTTLE were resolved to end STINGER.
VS Momo no Seishun (Daisuke Harada & Atsushi Kotoge)
On the 23rd September 2020, following a STINGER match against Haoh (who is challenging Kotaro Suzuki), YO-HEY & Daisuke Harada. Ogawa was pinned by YO-HEY, who then turned on Daisuke Harada and therefore (and probably to Ogawa's satisfaction) destroying the last threads of RATELS. A melee brawl then broke out among the juniors with every unit coming out, with FULL THROTTLE'S Hajime Ohara and Seiki Yoshioka fighting at ringside, with Atsushi Kotoge in the ring to help Daisuke Harada. After STINGER had been chased to the apron, Harada and Kotoge turned to face each other, Harada slowly offered his hand and old tag partner, former friend and fellow Osakian, Atsushi Kotoge took it. The tag team Momo no Seishun (that Kotoge had split in 2017 when he left for the heavyweight division), were back, but there was one little problem with this; Kotoge was in FULL THROTTLE. Yoshioka and Ohara were incensed by this and demanded an explanation as they stormed into the ring, shoving Harada aside and scuffing Kotoge's shirt. More fighting broke out, which ended with YO-HEY aligning with Seiki Yoshioka and Hajime Ohara (they will remain as FULL THROTTLE), and Harada and Kotoge challenging for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles. Ogawa accepted their challenge, which has been set for October 11th in Osaka. Osaka of course is the home of Daisuke Harada & Atsushi Kotoge, and by way of both Dove and RATELS, HAYATA'S spiritual home. It's going to be a big night at the Osaka Edion 1st Arena.
The first and only pre-match between the two teams came at the Battle Royale on the 4th October at Korakuen Hall. Daisuke Harada had arranged the match for a few reasons; the first being was that he wanted revenge on the whole junior division for coming to ringside and causing fights, secondly he wanted to send a message to STINGER, thirdly he wanted revenge on ALL of his old RATELS friends, fourth he wanted to prove he was the toughest (he wasn't, he was eliminated by HAYATA, but he did last 19 minutes and 47 seconds in a 24 minute, 32 second match), and finally he didn't want the juniors to be eclipsed by the hated heavyweights and their league, which 99% of the juniors took no interest in (aside from perhaps YO-HEY).
Yoshinari Ogawa entered the fray at number six, attacked Harada, and left after 5 minutes and 42 seconds. Ogawa didn't get eliminated, he just didn't care to stay in the match and walked off.
HAYATA had entered fourth, and as has been stated, eliminated both Daisuke Harada and YO-HEY, but was defeated by Atsushi Kotoge via moonsault.
Kotoge, the victor (who had entered last), spoke on the microphone, addressing HAYATA at ringside to say that on the 11th in Osaka, Momo No Seishun would be taking the belts.
It was a very stiff junior title defence. Yoshinari Ogawa started as he meant to go on, by not giving Daisuke Harada the satisfaction of starting against him, Harada paid him back in kind, and so HAYATA and Kotoge started, but it couldn't be denied that Harada wanted Ogawa, even throwing HAYATA aside to get him. His temper flaring, Harada managed to keep it under control saying earlier in an interview that he wouldn't let his emotions get the better of him. HAYATA, while not on the Ogawa level of hair pulling and leg grabbing, nevertheless took great pleasure in looking at Harada while pinning Kotoge
It came down to HAYATA vs Harada with Kotoge disposing of Ogawa outside the ring with a knee from the turnbuckle, which left them alone. Harada and HAYATA know each other very well after long years of tagging together in RATELS, but Harada did say that this was a new HAYATA, and that worked to his advantage. Daisuke Harada had the first taste of revenge, as he held his tag belt up to Yoshinari Ogawa. Ogawa kicked the rope in anger, and then left with HAYATA.
