(NOAH) CARD: SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 - Sunday July 10th, Fujisan Messe, Shizuoka
This is one of the most beautiful venues that Noah go to, and probably my favorite and I hope to visit one day. The venue lies practically at the foot of Mount Fuji, which is either swathed in clouds or under a crisp blue sky, and the light inside always mimics the colors of the mountain. It's the perfect setting for the show before the Nippon Budokan.
Doors open at 12:15 JST with the show starting at 1pm. Today's event will be broadcast at a later date and will not be delivered live.
MATCH ONE
Mohammed Yone vs Kinya Okada
Young Okakin once again takes on one of his seniors, who he is coming very close to beating and turning that much needed corner. He has no one at ringside today, no Hideki Suzuki or Shuhei Taniguchi, just himself to rely on.
MATCH TWO
Xtreme Tiger vs Alejandro
The last match Xtreme Tiger had was against El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr, who labelled the match "a Lucha War", this will be no less that, even though its a friendly between The Noah Junior Regulars.
MATCH THREE
STINGER (HAYATA & Simon Gotch) vs Seiki Yoshioka & Kai Fujimura
Seiki Yoshioka's goal here is HAYATA, he says that he is going to try and avoid being bothered by Simon Gotch. So far neither HAYATA or Yoshioka have gotten the direct win over each other, but Yoshioka has had the upper hand by attacking HAYATA after matches and dealing out some stiff kicks to the head. This is HAYATA'S last chance to break even and get some revenge before the title match.
MATCH FOUR
Go Shiozaki, Akitoshi Saito & The Noah Junior Regulars (Daisuke Harada & YO-HEY) Vs Kongoh (Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya, Tadasuke & Hi69)
The main story here is Tadasuke and the Noah Junior Regulars.
Since throwing Haoh out of Noah, Tadasuke has wondered by the Noah Junior Army haven't sought out revenge against him. No fighting words, mass brawls, match intrusions, after the bell attacks. Nothing. Daisuke Harada is back tonight from illness, so lets see what happens...or not.
MATCH FIVE
Kaito Kiyomiya & STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa & Yuya Susumu) vs Perros Del Mal De Japon (NOSAWA Rongai, Kotaro Suzuki & Super Crazy)
The grudge match of the evening sees three people united by their hatred of NOSAWA (Kaito Kiyomiya, Yoshinari Ogawa and Yuya Susumu) take on their enemies, Perros Del Mal De Japon. Unfortunately, the GHC Junior Heavyweight tag match is not happening now due to visa issues affecting Chris Ridgeway, but this isn't going to stop this match being chaos...or Ogawa exploiting the cracks between NOSAWA and Kotaro.
MATCH SIX
THE TOUGH TRIO (Michael Elgin, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura), Shuhei Taniguchi & Daiki Inaba vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hideki Suzuki, Timothy Thatcher, El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr & Rene Dupree)
Hoss fight and final GHC Heavyweight Tag pre match. It's going to be a war, especially as a similar line up is going to be happening at The Nippon Budokan. The Tag Champions need to win this match tonight over one of their challengers, to avoid almost complete pre match humiliation.
MATCH SEVEN
Satoshi Kojima & Atsushi Kotoge vs Kongoh (Kenoh & Hajime Ohara)
The final pre match before the Nippon Budokan is to be fought tonight in Fujisan Messe. Not Yokohama Radiant Hall, Korakuen Hall or any bigger Tokyo metropolitan area, but here at the foot of Mount Fuji. Kenoh and Satoshi Kojima will go to war one last time before the title match, so far neither have got the win over the other (aside from Kenoh beating Kojima up backstage), so a win is vital.
