About
Naomichi Marufuji celebrates his twenty-fifth year in Pro Wrestling (he is three years away from Mitsuharu Misawa's total of twenty-eight) with a quiet show at Korakuen Hall, in which the main event deviates from a typical Noah card. Event sold out almost as soon as it was first announced.
Title front

GHC Heavyweight Champion: Jake Lee
Challenger: Go Shiozaki
Their second pre match ended with Jake Lee taken out, and Go Shiozaki pinning YO-HEY. After the match, Shiozaki, who had once said ""In front of everyone the champion stands on two legs. The GHC has that kind of weight", kind of challenged Jake to prove this when he told him to get up. Jake couldn't, and rolled out of the ring.
GHC Heavyweight Tag: REAL (Saxon Huxley & Timothy Thatcher)
Challengers: Good Looking Guys (Jack Morris & Anthony Green)
No pre match tonight for the champions or their challengers, but Anthony Green has not done so well in the pre matches, losing to both Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher.
GHC National Champion: El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr
Challenger: Psycho Clown
Much to his horror, El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr was defeated by Psycho Clown. Psycho Clown has warned him that not only did he take his fathers (El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr's) fathers mask, but he's going to take his belt too and prove once and for all that the Brazos Empire is stronger than the Wagner family. Tonight is about revenge.
GHC Junior Heavyweight: HAYATA
Challenger: Seiki Yoshioka
The only pre match between HAYATA and Seiki Yoshioka will take place just before the title match, on September 23rd.
GHC Junior Tag Championship: Vacant
(This will be fought for between Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf and Ninja Mack and Alejandro after STINGER (Daga and Chris Ridgeway) were forced to vacate the belts due to Chris Ridgeway having to return to England due to personal issues)
Ninja Mack got the win in the last pre match due to Dragon Bane and Alpha Wolf having a sibling spat in the three man match, and both wanting to win and therefore scuppering each others chances. Alejandro returns tonight from concussion.
Elsewhere in Noah
- Ryohei Oiwa has his first Noah's singles match.
- On one of the rare occasions that Kazuyuki Fujita does not not team with REAL, there will be no Viper Tonic for them tonight. Probably much to Hideki Suzuki's relief, although I wouldn't put it past Fujita to offer them a bottle. Also, the last time REAL celebrated a team win, Saxon Huxley almost shoved Shuhei Taniguchi out of the ring.
- Yoshinari Ogawa, who is not in the best mood with Kaito Kiyomiya, whom he said was boring when he wins in response to Kiyomiya defeating Ogawa, gets another chance for revenge, and knowing Ogawa it will be a long drawn out and brutal one. Elsewhere in this match, Eita and Daga face off. They haven't had too much contact since Daga screwed Eita over and joined STINGER.
- The dynamics between Kenoh and Lance Anoa'i will be interesting to watch, as Anoa'i has physically picked him up and moved him out of the way to fight Manabu Soya.
- The main event is Will Ospreay vs Naomichi Marufuji. Surprisingly there haven't been more interviews with either about this, but Marufuji did say that he will have to come up with something that Ospreay doesn't expect to defeat him. Marufuji also plans (on winning that is) to concentrate next on Noah's title front.
