Kenoh and Kaito Kiyomiya promise, "N-1 Winner vs G1 Climax Winner"
Kaito Kiyomiya wrestled his last show for Noah until late August on the 9th July at Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe. His farewell show saw himself and Kenoh (teaming for one night as Kaioh) take on and defeat the team of  Manabu Soya and Daiki Inaba. At the end of the match, Kenoh snatched the mic from Kiyomiya and launched into a tirade; 

"Will you take the lead in the G1 CLIMAX? The leading role? The leading role is to win, right? Now, let me say something exciting for Noah and the world of Pro Wrestling; the N-1 winner and the G1 winner, will have a fresh singles match! Isn't that exciting! Only in the Noah ring can that be done, and Kiyomiya and I are the only ones who can do it, right? It's up to us if that ends up with just an empty boast, or if it really does come true. HEY! KIYOMIYA! Go to the G1 with the will to win the championship at any cost! I will win the N-1! And then, Kiyomiya and I, lets have a singles match between the N-1 and the G1 winners in the Noah ring. That's today's promise between myself, Kiyomiya and all you mutherfuckers here who support Noah and all you mutherfuckers supporting Noah and watching WrestleUniverse!"

Kaito Kiyomiya (who couldn't believe that they had actually shaken hands) agreed. Backstage he promised to return victorious from the G1, while Kenoh said "from now on follow us", rather than "from now on follow me", and promised a match that could only be seen in Noah. The question is, will we see the N-1 winner vs the G1 winner? Should Kenoh and Kiyomiya not win, or if one of them win, will another wrestler take up the challenge?

After his final match in Noah on the 9th July, Kaito Kiyomiya journeyed up to Sapporo where the league was opening. He attended the press conference where he was jumped by Gabriel Kidd as he got up to go to the podium to speak. Straightening out his suit, Kiyomiya acknowledged the loud cheers of the crowd and then staring at Kazuchika Okada (who was sitting nearby) added "There are opponents who I have to pay back, and while I said that in A Block I didn't have anyone other than SANADA in mind, but there is a guy who's more spirited than I thought". On his way back to his seat, Yota Tsuji attempted a wave but was ignored and Gabriel Kidd was back on his feet waiting for him, Kiyomiya waved him away. Kazuchika Okada sarcastically asked, "Kiyomiya-kun, are you okay? I'm worried about my toy". When the league opened, Kiyomiya first defeated Yota Tsuji and then got his revenge for the match in Canada when he was a young rookie on excursion, by defeating Chase Owens. His next match is on the 20th when he faces Shota Umino. Kiyomiya has vowed he will get his third win.

Yu Owawa's debut
At Korakuen Hall's off the chart atmosphere at "ONE NIGHT DREAM" on the 15th July, Yu Owawa made his Noah debut against Kai Fujimura. Fujimura picked up the win via submission, but the crowd were behind Owada all the way. He gives an impression of having the potential to be very technical. He himself says that he wants to be a wrestler who excites. 


Noah have announced a new project which is kind of similar to the Evergreen reels they ran around the time of the Suzuki Army in about 2016/2017. The new project, "Monday Magic", will run for five episodes every other Monday starting early October 2023 and end in December. 

Episode 1: Monday October 9th
Episode 2: Monday October 23rd
Episode 3: Monday November 13th
Episode 4: Monday November 27th
Final episode: Monday December 18th

NOSAWA Rongai (who still travels with Noah and is occasionally seen backstage by fans) will act as assistant director. Noah have said that this will be kind of like a serial drama, which I guess would be similar to a soap in some respects. I don't know whether there will be pre taped segments, but all shows will be filmed in front of a live audience at Shinjuku FACE.

NOAH the HOME DELUXE
"NOAH the HOME" started during the Coronavirus pandemic to give the younger wrestlers in Noah experience of weekly matches with an audience. Shows were streamed over YouTube and took place in the Noah dojo on a static cam. There was no entries or music, just matches. Now, NOAH the HOME DELUXE has evolved into what the old SEM shows used to be. For the newer fans, SEM was a show on which the younger wrestlers on the roster would appear on, wrestle in front of a crowd (always at Differ Ariake), and Misawa would watch from the balcony. No titles were defended or challenged for, and only a limited number of tickets were sold for each show. SEM ran from 2006 until 2013, returning in 2014 as SEMex before stopping in August 2015 due to the severe problems Noah were having at the time. That is where the story picks up again in 2021, with a new generation and a new Noah. Noah have not announced as to whether these shows will be televised on WrestleUniverse or ABEMA, or whether they will be broadcast live or a later date, but the shows will be held at Shinkiba 1stRING on August 14th and 15th. 

Naomichi Marufuji vs Will Ospreay announced
Naomichi Marufuji's opponent was announced to be (as fans had long suspected), as Will Ospreay. Ospreay has wanted to fight Marufuji for years, calling him his "idol". This match will take place at Marufuji's 25th anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on the 17th September. Nothing of the rest of the card has been announced, but Marufuji said something excitedly about special merchandise in the works for the night. 

Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Kento Miyahara
The long build and the feud between the sibling students, came to a head at "ONE NIGHT DREAM" on the 15th July, when Nakajima defeated Miyahara. Miyahara, not one to forgive either of his brothers easily, fought back when Nakajima attempted to help him up after the match and another fight broke out which ended with Nakajima throwing him out of the ring and the two having a stare off when Miyahara was sitting on the apron trying to get back in. Nakajima told him that he recognized that Miyahara had become a great wrestler, but Nakajima would never ever give up. Backstage, Miyahara and Nakajima hinted that perhaps (or perhaps not) there may be a round two.

Lance Anoa'i & Adam Brookes make their Noah debut
Two new faces came to join the N-1 VICTORY and made their debuts in Noah; Adam Brookes on the 9th July and Lance Anao'i on the 15th. Adam Brookes made it perfectly clear to everyone, but no one more than Stallion Rogers (who he beat up with an astounding technical prowess), that he was not here to make friends, he was here to win. Lance Anoa'i was a little more friendly (and helped Jack Morris in controlling Saxon Huxley) and for a man of his size, showed how agile he is, pulling out flips and somersaults. 

TITLE NEWS

GHC Heavyweight Champion: Jake Lee
With the N-1 looming in August (and it now being the 18th July with Noah's next event on the 20th), Jake Lee will probably not be challenged for the title in July. 


GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion: HAYATA
With all the people who held the GHC Junior while he was injured, HAYATA said he wanted to be challenged by one of the people he appeared in "ALL TOGETHER AGAIN" with, and he got his wish when Atsuki Ayoyagi from All Japan (whose name HAYATA does not appear to remember, as he refers to him as "that guy" which made Aoyagi subtweet a Noah GHC Twitter post quoting HAYATA and saying, "Next is me") came to challenge for the GHC Junior on the 9th July at Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe. Aoyagi said that he was bored after losing his World Junior Belt, and therefore he had come for HAYATA's. The title match has been set for the 20th July at Shinjuku FACE. HAYATA said there would be no pre match, but he and "that guy" got physical when Aoyagi appeared on commentary at "ONE NIGHT DREAM" and HAYATA jumped the barrier to get into his face after the match. Daga has also expressed an interest in the winner...

GHC Heavyweight Tag Champions: REAL (Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher)
They haven't received any challengers yet, but Noah are putting them (well Saxon as Timothy isn't in Noah currently) in a lot of matches against THE TOUGH (Yoshiki Inamura and Masa Kitamiya). However, with the N-1 taking place in August, it's unclear (or else unlikely) as to whether the heavyweights will be defending any titles. 

GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions: STINGER (Chris Ridgeway and Daga)
The champions are not currently in Noah, but YO-HEY and Tadasuke of Good Looking Guys have requested a rematch, with YO-HEY making his request on the 15th July. Noah have not announced the title match as of yet. 

GHC National Champion: El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr 
AMAKUSA put up a terrific fight for the title on the 9th July, but failed to take the championship from the absolute champion. No challenger has come forward at the time if writing, but as El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr is taking part in the N-1 VICTORY, this may well be until after the tournament is ended.

ELSEWHERE IN NOAH
- Lance Anoa'i was heard to tell Saxon Huxley, who was walking around the outside of the ring with Daiki Inaba on his shoulder to, "Use your head, idiot! Put him in the ring!"
- Jimmy Wang Yang and his daughter Jazzy, made their Noah debuts on the 15th July. I did see somewhere (I think it may have been from himself) that Jimmy will not be wrestling for much longer. However, he did seem to suggest that Noah create a GHC Women's Tag. 
- Katsuhiko Nakajima tortured Kento Miyahara in front of Masa Kitamiya, who was sitting on commentary at ringside. Kitamiya waved him away. Later Nakajima did Kitamiya's move, "The Prison Lock". Kitamiya continued to look unimpressed. 
- Kenoh and Jake Lee got into a squabble, with Kenoh being vocally abrasive, which led to Jake eventually throwing him out of the ring. Jake says he is never teaming with him again.
- Shuji Kondo and a cheeky Seiki Yoshioka (who called this stern senior "Kon-chan", even when he was told not too), have formed a tag team. I wonder what Atsushi Kotoge, who has been absent with a fever and missed the 15th July show, will think of this? 
- Eita's attempts to make friends with others on the roster went down like a lead balloon when he tried to make friends with AXIZ. Katsuhiko Nakajima couldn't quite believe what he was seeing, while Go Shiozaki tried hard not to laugh, but later gave Eita a stern warning. Later when Eita tried to shake hands with them, they ignored him. Twice. Eita will have a further chance to be chummy with Kenoh (who will not be appreciative) and AXIZ again this month. 
- Yoshinari Ogawa didn't seem to want to have much to do with LEONA, even after LEONA won the match and refused to leave with him.
- Takashi Sugiura, (who said that the nurse washed his hair, and that was all) she washed, has been released from hospital following his eye injury. He is eating protein as he can return to light training. Noah have not announced when he will be returning to the ring. 
- Hideki Suzuki was handed all the empty RED VIPER tonic bottles by REAL once they had downed them. He was left holding them as they attacked their opponents. 
- Kenoh ditched his red to now wear blue. He has not given a reason for this, but joked when in Hokkaido that it was because he was mistaken for a "Hokkaido crab".
- Noah's traditional New Year show will take place at the Ariake Arena on January 2nd 2024, and not the Nippon Budokan which has been traditional these past few years. 
- Mitsuharu Misawa wrote in "Donmai! Donmai! that Shuhei Taniguchi did Terminator impressions.
